For the past 12 years we’ve run two dance studios, offered over 20,000 hours of dance classes, and organized more than 2,000 social dance events. And since 2006 we’ve run Vancouver’s largest annual salsa dance festival Sunday Afternoon Salsa at Robson Square. After closing D2 Dance Studio in June 2022, we’ve rebranded as Dancey Events to better represent our new role as occasional event organizers.

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND!! It's Soirée Wine & Cheese this Sunday Nov 10

Many dancers have told us they miss our Salsa Soirée Wine & Cheese social, so we’re bringing it back for a special long weekend edition on Sunday Nov 10 at Baza Dance Studios at 8pm-11pm.

Come early if you want some wine, because its runs out fast! Doors open at 8pm.

DJ Stephen will be playing mostly salsa with some bachata and cha cha cha; and Jennifer will be serving up some of her delicious home-baked sweet treats with the wine and cheese.

Many dancers have mentioned to us that they miss our Salsa Soirée Wine & Cheese social, so we’re bringing it back for a special long weekend edition on Sunday Nov 10 at Baza Dance Studios.

Our Story

D2 Dance Studio is conveniently located in Vancouver’s Mount Pleasant neighbourhood, between Main St and Cambie, near West Broadway and Olympic Village.

Run by Jennifer & Stephen Dancey, formerly of the Dancey Ballroom (2011-2017), they opened D2 Dance Studio in 2014 as a second location in the Dancey Studios family of dance studios. After closing the Dancey Ballroom and downsizing in June 2017, it was a natural transition to shift the majority of our dance programs to the D2 location.

Mount Pleasant is a convenient location for the instructors and dancers who teach and rehearse at the studio, many of whom live nearby, and also for students and dancers who prefer this area for it’s proximity to downtown without the downtown hassles of parking etc.
