At the Sinixt Daybreak Water Ceremony, Cultural Elder Shelly Boyd connected our community to the land.
We are deeply grateful to live, work, and learn on the traditional unceded territory of the Sinixt and the Ktunaxa and acknowledge the many other First Nations, Métis and Inuit people here on this land that we all call home. Indigenous peoples, past and present, here and globally, have been the steadfast land protectors and stewards of the Earth. Their traditional knowledge guides us toward a healthier and more respectful relationship with the land and all living things. We are committed to learning more about Indigenous ways and working toward reconciliation.
