Well this text warmed my heart. I got a panicked call late Saturday afternoon, the entertainer had called and canceled. Luckily they gave her my name. A little maneuvering and a tight schedule and I fit them in. I couldn't disappoint the birthday girl.

Walk around magic for Canucks Autism Network today. One teenager (who is now old enough to volunteer) stopped me on the way out and said "that's your 7th year here! And I didn't even get a balloon from you this year!" I said "well this year I was doing magic. Would you like to do something?" He said
" Yes" so we did a magic trick or 2.
I asked him "how do you know it's 7 years." He said " you've been here from the first year for 'Picnic in the Park'! So that's 7 years."
Parents who come up and say 'oh so nice to see you again!' And I get to see all these children grow. Ones that were smaller then me are now looking down on me and still come up and have a conversation like long lost pals. And we are!
Love those kids!

I met a woman Laurette who was celebrating her 103 birthday. So glad I was doing walk around magic at Scott 72 Shopping Centre this afternoon. Thank you White Spot for letting me come in a join her party. We sang Happy Birthday and Laurette's voice was one of the loudest. Such a vibrant lovely woman. Happy Birthday Laurette! You are showing us how to live life and enjoy every minute of it.

Looking for something fun for Canada Day? Check out our very own Mission Canada Day at Fraser River Heritage Park! All day festivities, into the evening, ending with fireworks!
We'll be there again this year, in the Kid's Zone with face painters Vancouver's Smartee Pants the Magic Clown & the Magic Clown, along with Balloon Artist Amazing Scruffles The Clown.

Just came back from Banff and an amazing collection of various disciplines - face painters, balloon artists, body painters, business developers and magicians. I was teaching magic. My highlight is a note written on the appreciation board. 'Amanda is very nice and has a funny personality. P.S. Love Hunter' Hunter is a 12 yr old boy. When you win a 12 yr old boy over, it's something very special. He came back again and brought his mom and sisters with him. :-)
