When hiring vendors for your wedding, look for professionals who you can easily communicate and connect with. Hire someone who is passionate about their craft. Your vendors passion will absolutely shine through in their work, and ultimately this will make all the difference on your wedding day.

H & H were the loveliest people to work and plan with. They had creative and thoughtful ideas and a collaborative mindset. Getting to know our clients even in a small way during the months leading up to their wedding day is one of my favourite aspects of this industry. Your wedding day is one of the biggest moments of your life, and what an honour to be chosen to be part of that.

At , there is a small area within the main space that is curtained off to store reception tables during the ceremony. This ensures a smooth and efficient transition from ceremony to the dinner reception. As the florist, it makes sense to wait out of sight within that area to be on hand for the room flip. So, on this day I stood enclosed within this curtained off space during the ceremony, quietly shedding a few tears as I listened to H & H say their heartfelt vows in front of their friends and family. After months of their hard work and thoughtful planning, It was so lovely to quietly witness the most genuine and authentic moment of their wedding celebration.

These small moments are a glimpse into what makes this career and creative passion ultimately so rewarding. What an honour to be part of these truly special moments for such lovely people. 💫

Happy International Women’s Day to all the fearless women out there. The mothers, single mothers, step mothers, grandmothers, daughters, sisters, aunts, friends, neighbours, entrepreneurs, employees, stay at home moms, caregivers, teachers, the list goes on.

When I take a look around, my most revered peers are women. We are educated, skilled, creative, caring, nurturing, courageous and driven. We have goals and dreams and we don’t just chase them, we make them a reality. We strive and achieve together by leaning on one other. I am so thankful for my friendships and allies and I know I would not be where I am today without the amazing group of women that I have surrounded myself with! 💫🙏🏽💕

Bellwood Blooms has relocated to a new studio space in The Junction - back to our roots, where it all began back in 2017. We will be sharing our studio renovations with you over the coming month, as we settle in and make this new space our home before our busy year ahead!

Planning your guest table decor is not as easy as it sounds! Here are expert tips for creating beautiful tablescapes while keeping design and guest comfort in mind 💫🕯️🌸

Tip 1: Ask your venue for table dimensions and the recommended guest count per table before you start planning with your florist or wedding planner. Be sure to share this info with your expert team as you move forward.

Tip 2: Consider what other items will be on the table during dinner and the reception—wine bottles, water, bread baskets, butter plates, table numbers, wedding favours, shared menus, coffee cups, and more. If you are aiming for a refined setup focused on florals and romantic candlelight, scale back on clutter—limit glassware, offer coffee cups only during dessert, serve plated bread rolls instead of a basket, and avoid oversized favors. 🍷🥖🍴🧈☕️🎁

Tip 3: Trust your florist’s expertise! 🌼🌷😊Ask for advice on the best decor style and quantities of floral items and candles based on your table size and guest count. Be sure to communicate any additional items that will be on the table to ensure everything fits comfortably.

Tip 4: Don’t crowd your guests! Avoid decor options that interfere with plates or glasses—they need space to eat and drink comfortably. 🍷🍰✌🏼

Tip 5: Remember, many Pinterest or magazine wedding photos are from styled shoots and aren’t real events. They don’t show all the practical elements necessary for a successful event that puts guest comfort first. Share your inspiration ideas with your expert team and ask for their feedback on how to best achieve your goals while considering your table style, size and guest count.
