Let’s welcome BLUE MEADOW to our upcoming festival the weekend of August 22, 23 & 24, 2025 đŸŽ”đŸŽ¶

Daniel Doiron started playing music with his brothers at a very young age, playing the guitar, before he got his first banjo at age 14. He enjoyed listening to many different styles of music including old country, traditional bluegrass and folk music. Main bluegrass influences include the Stanley Brothers, Flatt and Scruggs and JD Crowe to name a few. Throughout the years, he has played banjo, sang lead and harmonies in several bands, the last two being the Doiron Brothers and Route 126. He’s looking forward to joining his brother and friends on stage at the Rogersville Bluegrass festival and entertain bluegrass fans.

Jean-Marc Doiron was born & raised in Acadieville, NB, a small town with lots of talent. He enjoyed listening to music growing up, mainly LPs he got from his cousin from the USA. Though he was shy, his love for music helped him overcome it. He started singing at a young age and in his early 20's, he bought his first guitar and joined a band. He has since played with several bands through the years and won several male vocalists awards & band awards. He released a solo cd which was very successful, with the song Sentinel being #1 for many weeks on our local radio station CJSE. He also released two other cd's with the band Canadian Grass Unit.
Jean-Marc is honored to have been asked to perform and record harmony vocals with lots of talented singers and musicians, and he will always be grateful for his bluegrass family & friends.

Laurie Chevarie, born and raised from a musical family, he took a liking to bluegrass music from a very early age. Since 1982, Laurie has performed in several groups playing different gendres of music but traditional bluegrass has always been his favorite. Taking to the stage with longtime friends and cousins brings back fond memories from the little country town where they all grew up. Some of Laurie's influences in music were The Stanley Brothers, Flatt & Scruggs, Bill Monroe to name a few, always having a passion for harmonies. Laurie was a singer long before he learned an instrument. Laurie is looking forward to this new venture picking the mandolin and singing lead and harmony vocals for bluegrass fans of the past, present & future.

Dave Noel is originally from Moncton, now resides in St Antoine. He attended his first bluegrass festival at the age of 6. Later on, as a teenager, he developed a passion for bluegrass music which he still has to this day. He began playing guitar at a young age however, at the age of 18, he moved his focus over to playing bass. He has since played with many different groups and is also a current member of The Bluegrass Unit from Nova Scotia.

If you didn’t book your site for the weekend, please call Carole at 506-775-2200 to make your reservations! Please share!

⭐THE SALT LICKS⭐
Performing across Saskatchewan by popular demand, The Salt Licks burst onto the scene in 2021. It all began when six friends got together in Luke G’s basement to play their favourite country songs. From the start, they set an ambitious goal: learn 600 songs by 2030.

Their ever-growing repertoire includes country and country-adjacent hits from artists like Buck Owens, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Johnny Cash, Taylor Swift, Willie Nelson, and Wanda Jackson—plus many more.

The Salt Licks deliver rippin’ fiddle tunes, mid-2000s pop country, western swing, folk songs, and early country and rock ‘n’ roll. All of it comes with their own unique twist. They launched their live show journey with monthly H***y Tonk nights at Amigos Cantina in Saskatoon, including two New Year’s Eve bashes. Since then, they’ve brought the party to The Longbranch, Northern Lights Bluegrass Festival, and the Fir Mountain Community Hall, making their mark in every festival lineup they join.

Each band member brings serious musical credentials, coming from projects like The Barrelmen, Kacy & Clayton, The Local Group, Ride ‘Til Dawn, and The Seahags.
