Press+Fold is a Pop-Up Record Shop supporting new, unique and relatively unknown electronic music from around the world. The team behind it “pops up” regularly to sell and showcase music that is difficult to attain in the city.

Our roll with them consisted of building out the space where they reside as well as creating a record bin, custom graphics with light boxes and providing audio equipment for the DJ’s to use when the shop is open.

Studio 10 was a project from the ground up and a collaboration between us and the Faywood Group.
Starting with the creation of the room, framing the studio properly to absorb sound by having each wall double framed and insulated with a barrier in between. The studio came to life with six custom sound panels and three bass traps. A diffuser was created with a math equation based on the size of the room and mounted in place to diffuse sound. To finish the room off, a sound absorbing floor was installed and the construction of a 9-foot desk.

Sometimes the projects we take on are not only related to audio and visual. We had a client contact us in need of preparing an apartment for short term rentals that was in need of more than just a few upgrades. Acting as the project manager, we took over the renovation job and hired all of the trade and finishing work to get this apartment up to date and ready for someone to live.

We worked with Sweat & Soda to upgrade their existing sound system to include stronger components as well as relocating the speakers in the cafe. With more control over their system, they are able to adjust the sound on a per room basis now, while giving their customers the satisfaction of a balanced experience.

Planning a new restaurant is never easy but the early stages of building always make it more convenient for sound to be installed. With Parallel, we worked with the team to design and install a house system that is prepared for both everyday and live use. We also included a projector, hanging 20ft in the air which is used by the restaurant to showcase video art from aspiring artists.

We worked closely with the team from Parallel to create a sound system for a new, raw space which they were about to occupy. After the planning stages were complete, we prepared a solution that met their needs in a sound system, video projection, wireless speakers and a media hub.

With the need to expand their sound system for live acts and DJs, Eastbound Brewing Co. came to us with a goal set in mind for how they wanted the next project at the Brewery to work. The first half started with tapping into the existing sound system and finding a solution to properly expand the sound. The second half of the Eastbound project included sound management within the restaurant to reduce rattling, vibrations and distractions caused by sound.

Eastbound is now better prepared to tackle their music programming and offer a higher quality of sound throughout the venue.

Located in the heart of Leslieville, Sweat & Soda is a coffee shop catering to those looking for more than just a coffee experience. Though the cafe already had a sound system installed, the cafe was not happy with the performance they were receiving with their current setup.

After reworking the system, adding new amps, replacing speakers as well as re-wiring and re-locating, Sweat & Soda now has full control of the cafe and the system better suits there needs.
