I am no crazy caricature artist, my faricatures are more on the line of flattery, but I love when I get requests to exaggerate!

Exaggeration doesnt always mean to make things bigger; sometimes smaller, squished or pushed! I approach my drawings as a catroonist so I do have a different approach. I do love the crazy exaggerations though!

I alsways appreciate a good laugh like these guys had! These are my favourite reactions!

I had the pleasure of capturing caricatures of guests at this stunning intimate wedding this past weekend.

Guests started arriving after the ceremony and we got started. I drew throughout cocktail hour, dinner and a little bit before dancing really started! This was a great way to break up the evening and get people talking. I love small weddings like this because I can take my time and draw everyone!

I’ve got to say, Roseville Estate is stunning. I am set up in the entry way the the light that shines through those windows ~chefs kiss

This couple booked me for the whole reception starting at cockatil hour, and booked an assistant to keep me drawing all evening. The bride was so creative and designed the template for me to work on, she did a great job!

It was such a lovely day and guests were so excited for caricatures.

Cleaning up some of my caricatures from photos at the pet expo. I had soooo many great photos from this expo (forgot to take a few closeups of some) and it was hard to choose.

I always get questions about back and white vs. Colour, especially for animals that are back and white mainly. There are a few in here that show that difference! I add some pencil shading to the black and white drawings, like I do at events, it is fairly light but definitely adds to the drawing. The colour however, well, no fur is just black, or just white. There are a lot of subtle colours, especially in white fur and in emphasis for the face. I won’t charge you for colour and leave your pet the shade of the paper 😂

Anyway. I am hoping to get out in Toronto and do some street portraits. I am a little nervous to be out there on my own, but I think it will be a lot of fun. I am debating about where to go. Maybe along queen west or Yorkville. By the ROM maybe? Orrrr should I try the Eaton Centre?

I do not do live caricatures in a not live setting (like you send me a photo and I do it from home and then I mail it out) those will cost more because they take a lot longer to do in that setting and I just prefer to keep it as an in-person thing. Photos are also difficult to work from because I don’t know your family member like you do, and when you are beside me I can ask questions and clarify features. I hope that makes sense!

Clips of me drawing pet caricatures and families at the this past Spring!

I had a 360 camera set up to catch a few angles. One thing that stays consistent when I try to film myself working: My hair is the main character! This camera lens has a bit of a crack so theres a bit of a blur unfortunately, but I really love that I can capture what goes on behind me. This is one of the draw backs of videos, you can not see everyone stopping, smiling, and watching as I draw. It is an experience in it’s own.

I look kind of lame without my big puffy hair so it’s got to stay. Any camera people have any advice?

I was so busy this past expo and it was so great to meet new clients and people I have drawn before. And of course, pet all the furry companions!

It was my first time using pan pastels for the full weekend. I liked the look and feel of them a lot, especially for the pets (and my wrist didn’t hurt for days after!)

This birthday party had it all! Mariachi band, 360 photo booth, and caricatures!

This was a milestone 40th birthday party and they pulled pit all the stops. Guests loved seeing each others caricatures and came to get one theirselves.

I think I had a little blanket under that table. This was at the end of January when it was super cold, everytime that entry way door opened we felt it 🥶
