Shēk Designs Special Event Planning and Design We enjoyed the challenge and the ability to use more of our creative minds – from hence forth Shēk Design was founded.

Shēk Designs began when two friends decided to mutually decorate small events for friends, families and local church functions. Mikela O’kieffe and Tahisha Robertson are both friends and business partners and have a history in Interior Design. We educated together and worked together within the same field. We worked as visual merchandisers for large retailers and department stores and worked with

various interior design firms. With our history and knowledge in interior design we have the ability to use creativity to transform a space, as well as adapt a sense of excellence, understand technical details and engage in time management skills. We enjoy challenges and to discern solutions. Our passion in Interior design prides us to enhance all events with our inspiration.

TO ALL THE HOPELESS ROMANTICS OUT THERE!!!

Hello again everyone. I know a lot of women and yes even men use to think about how their wedding day was going to be when they were younger.

What were some of your thoughts/plans from back in the day?
If you’re still single have any of your thoughts changed and how?
If you are married did things go the way you dreamed it would?

Feel free to talk about anything from what type of venue you’ve always wanted, to food and all the way up to your wardrobe.

For myself; I’ve always wanted a ceremony in the church. The reception venue keeps changing for me, from a hall with a beautiful garden surrounding the area by the lake - to a transformed building with a rustic look. The dresses keep changing too but one that I’ve found recently by Vera Wang has fully caught my eye.
