I see SO many of you posting feeling overwhelmed and wondering where to even START with planning your big day away… so let me help!

I’m Vicky Nicholas past destination bride (16 years ago!) and now with 13 years in wedding & event planning and 7 years diving deep into Caribbean travel, I’ve blended my two loves & passions to help couples like YOU plan weddings thousands of miles away—without the stress!

Here’s my top advice to kick off your dream destination wedding:

✨ First, ask yourself: How important is it to have _________ (Mom? Dad? BFF? Grandma?) there with you?
Would it not feel the same without them? You might be surprised who ends up joining you.

✨ Plan EARLY. I’m talking 12-24 months out for the best shot at getting your favorite people to join. Give them time to save, request time off, and turn your wedding into their vacation too! Encourage them to go more than the minimum stay (trust me they will thank you)

✨ Test drive your wedding! If you can, book a little getaway to visit your resort and experience it firsthand. Meet the team, taste the food and definitely cake (yum), and vibe out the venue. Trust me, it’s SO worth it (plus, who doesn’t love an extra trip?).... plus the more excited you are, the more guests will sign up early & attend (facts)
