Marriage Certificate Delays – Please Read 💍

If you were married in Summer/Fall 2025 and are still waiting for your official marriage certificate, you’re not alone.

We are currently seeing processing times of 3–5 months through the Office of the Registrar General in Thunder Bay due to Canada Post disruptions and Ministry backlogs.

As officiants, we:
✔️ Complete all paperwork correctly
✔️ Obtain required witness signatures
✔️ Mail the licence promptly

Once it’s mailed, processing is unfortunately out of our hands.

Please know — you are legally married from the moment you are pronounced. We keep detailed records and can assist if anything ever needs clarification.

If you haven’t already, apply online for your certificate through ServiceOntario and keep your order number for follow-up.

If you’re one of my 2025 couples still waiting, this is completely normal right now 🤍 I’m always here if you need reassurance.

I’m so excited to share a brand-new offering that is now included free of charge with all currently booked and future officiating packages 💍

🤍 The Hand-Tying (Handfasting) Ceremony — featuring our new exclusive Perfectly Planned Parties white ribbon.

A hand-tying ceremony is a meaningful symbolic ritual where the couple’s hands are gently bound together, representing unity, commitment, and the joining of two lives. There are beautiful, heartfelt words that accompany this moment, and I’m happy to share that the hand-tying ceremony wording is already included within my ceremony packages for booked clients.

This offering is especially close to my heart. At my own wedding, our officiant surprised my husband and me with a hand-tying ceremony using an Italian flag ribbon. It became one of the most touching moments of our day. We still have our ribbon displayed in our bedroom alongside our marriage licence — a simple but deeply meaningful keepsake.

That experience inspired me to bring this tradition to my own couples. While ours reflected our heritage, my clients will receive a timeless white ribbon to keep as a lasting reminder of their vows and ceremony.

Event planners watching the Victoria Beckham documentary when it starts POURING on show day like:

That scene gave me instant event anxiety — and it’s exactly why backyard tent weddings make my nervous system hum.

Don’t get me wrong… they’re stunning.
But they also require serious planning:
✔️ real rain plans
✔️ proper tenting
✔️ timelines that can flex
✔️ and backup plans for the backup plans

Because “we’ll just hope for good weather” is not a strategy ☔️✨

Last season at Royal Ambassador, I had the honour of co-officiating Farhan & Taylor’s wedding in a truly special way. 💍

Instead of a traditional solo officiant, we chose a co-officiated ceremony—with the groom’s sister joining me at the altar. We walked down the aisle together, shared the role seamlessly, and created something deeply personal and unforgettable.

I handled the legal elements and key ceremony structure, ensuring everything was official and recognized in Canada, while she brought the heart-felt storytelling, sharing meaningful moments and memories that only family can tell.
