Be Careful of Scammers.
I think this is an important post to read.
All events right now are being targeted by criminals and that is what they are.

They highjack events, change emails and send the exact same forms and messages to unsuspecting vendors.

And unfortunately they succeed in getting your hard working money. And if you etransfer them the banks can’t do anything.

I decided to confront one in an email who decided to target my vendors from my Let’s Be Crafty show and this was the response.

Hello ReDeana,

I'm a poor child from Africa ReDeana
Nigeria life is Hard.
If actually I get the money I will refund it is not my wish to do these.

On that ReDeana it seems you don't have a website for vendors I am actually good in web design if you can offer me a chance to help design a web for you so that I can refund the client's money I took.
If you can consider that I'm open for talks.

Kind Regards
Steve

Ki

Seriously!!!! So now they are trying to extort me by saying if I give them website work they will refund my vendors.

Please make sure when you sign up for a show you check with the venue to ensure they are hosting this show ask them for the name of the organizer. Call that organizer or do a Facebook search for the organizer. Ask on any of your local face-group pages. We all have to work together to prevent this from happening to people.
I am sick and sad this is happening not only to me but to all event organizers right now.
Stay alert.
RaDeana
