A little background on Chef Paul and Laforet Catering ✨

Chef Paul Laforet is the creative force behind Laforet Catering; a family-run catering & Private Chef company based in Orillia, Ontario. With over 20 years of culinary experience and a passion for bringing people together through food, Paul has built a business centered around connection, hospitality and unforgettable dining experiences.

A graduate of George Brown Culinary School, Paul refined his craft in Toronto’s restaurant scene before becoming Executive Chef at a hotel and restaurant in Orillia. In 2020, Paul and his wife Burgundy took a leap of faith and launched Laforet Catering — creating personalized, elevated experiences inspired by their love of food and the outdoors.

Specializing in outdoor, over-the-fire cooking, Chef Paul brings creativity and a passion for hospitality to everything from intimate backyard dinners to weddings, cottage gatherings and large-scale celebrations!

“Laforet,” meaning “The Forest” in French, reflects both his heritage and the nature-inspired style that has become the heart of the business. 🔥🌲
