What a lovely evening hosted by Mad About Style and Winnipeg Wedding Florist

I was happy to learn from one of the industry’s best. My daughter asked me if I did learn anything…. And yes, yes I did!! I learned about giving flowers their own space so they can shine, about using the little flowers to cover the mechanics, ( I think I always just stick in more greens 🫣) and I also learned that I’m NOT YOUR GIRL if you have a budget 🤣🤣🤣

Once again I am determined to grow dahlias well. It’s hard to make an ugly arrangement when a person has such beautiful flowers to start with!!

THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for the beautiful 2026 season! It was a wonderful summer of making friends, having you grace my garden, creating beautiful (can I use “beautiful” twice in one paragraph??)spaces for you, and those of who who have had me do your wedding flowers. Thank you for trusting me to grow and sell you my flowers 🫶 Thank you for those of you who purchased subscriptions!!!! Thank you to the ones who came for upicks and, especially thanks to you who have come more then once!! I love that! And just THANKS. It means a lot. We live in an amazing supportive community.

For summer of 2027 there will be our event with Stone City Specialty Coffee Roasters and more candle making, flower picking parties with DIYWITHSHAE | DESSERT SOY WAX CANDLES, together with our regular Upicks. The regular subscriptions will also be available: Office, Valentines Day, Mothers Day, Spring (May to June), Summer (June-September)

Hope to see more of you next summer!

Some late blooming Kings Ransom sweet pea for you 😍 it’s done an amazing job setting seed this year, so I’ll have lots of plants next spring!

And I got my garden tilled! I bribed my family with ice cream at Vicky’s in Ste Anne. 😅 And can you see what’s missing in the garden picture? Besides the plants of course! That light pole!! It was of no use but faithfully and guarded my garden for almost 20 years. Curtis gave it a nudge with the tractor bucket and over it went. Was a little horrifying to realize it had been that rotten. 😳

It was such a beautiful afternoon to work out there. So different than last year. It rained so much I had to leave everything until this spring.
What’s left is to put slow release fertilizer down where the plants will grow and then putting the landscape fabric back in place.
I also need to clean up the dahlias, but I’ll work on that next week.

Grape vine wreath with airy purple limonium. The limonium is securely zip tied in place so it should withstand abit of breeze and closing doors. Of course, to keep it in the best condition keep it inside and hanging on a wall that won’t move. Luxurious green velvet ribbon from Ribbonrie by Honey Silks & Company is hand torn and has a very lovely bewitching drape.

Tulips for 2027!! Some of you are talking about Christmas and I’m already in the new year!! 😅

My order got downsized a little, I guess because of poorer than expected harvest, but I’m very happy with what I still have coming. I have some new varieties that I can’t wait to grow!

You’ll find them in my spring subscriptions next year and you can always custom order flowers!
