On September 6, Bannerman Park transformed into a treasure trove for the fourth annual ‘Funky Swap.’

Picnic blankets and racks overflowed with a variety of wares, including clothes, trinkets, plants, games, furniture, and art.

The event also featured pop-up haircuts by Emyn Hadyn. The only rule? No cash allowed, swaps only.

We want to spend the next week highlighting what and who will be at FunkySwap this year❤️

Q***rs4Palestine St. John’s is a local organization committed to liberation for all, a free Palestine, and sharing joy with our community. They will have a table set up during the event and are collecting donations for Palestine!
**Please note, Q***rs4PalestineStJohns is the ONLY cash table. All swaps throughout the event must remain cashless.

Fat Babes of NL is a volunteer collective comprised of local, q***r, fat folks who aim to create a safe and inclusive space for all marginalized bodies here in NL.
They host super fun events like ‘Fat Chats’ in Bannerman Park (where they share stories about our lived experiences), size-inclusive clothing swaps, pool/pizza parties, and more! RIOTS NOT DIETS!
FBNL will be swapping plus size clothing and some more funky finds throughout the event!
