What a ride! We had an incredibly successful night market on Sunday, our first one ever, and just 4 days before Christmas! It was so heartwarming to see so many happy vendors and customers, my face hurt from smiling so much.

Huge thanks to our amazing community for continuing to show up for our vendors at each of our events, we are all so very grateful. After 25+ Etsy markets, I still get the jitters and I stress that people won’t turn up. But you showed me! I kept saying “I can’t believe how many people are coming in!” THANK YOU for showing up! ❤️

I couldn’t have pulled off this market without a team of cheerleaders and especially my kid, Dex. I gave Liza-Ann a well deserved break this time around and I handled all the vendor bios, but she was still there, asking me if I needed anything. Thanks to nakArt for this photo of our sign! Thanks to the staff at St. John's Farmers' Market who were an absolute pleasure and they did such an awesome job decking the halls with festive decor & holiday cheer. 🎄 And finally, thanks to Chelsea Beehan who whipped up the graphics in a matter of minutes when this night market was just a wild idea back in November—seeing that dark blue background on our poster was the deciding factor. 👏

On a personal note, I lost my parents this year so I haven’t been looking forward to Christmas. I threw myself into market planning, vending at markets every weekend in November & December, all while working full time. It’s been a beautiful distraction, but talking to vendors and feeling the buzz of excitement at the market on Sunday reminded me why I do this. Connection. Providing an avenue for makers & entrepreneurs like me to connect with customers is so meaningful and rewarding. I don’t take that responsibility lightly and I’m grateful for all my vendor friends. 💌

Thank you so much to everyone for making this year bearable. I’m overwhelmed with love and gratitude for this beautiful community of local entrepreneurs and the people who support us. ❤️ May you all find some peaceful moments among the holiday bustle. 🎄💕

🌙✨ NEW Vendor Spotlight: Melissa of The Ivy House is a wife and mom of two whose career was in Electronics Engineering. After having children, and with lots of love and a gentle push from her husband and family, she transitioned to leaving her job to live out her passion as a maker.

Melissa makes very intricate handmade polymer clay jewellery. You can see her meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail in each and every one-of-a-kind creation. We’re continuously amazed by these miniature works of art!

Come see the incredible selection from The Ivy House this weekend at the Evening Etsy Market from 6-10pm on Sunday, December 21 at St. John's Farmers' Market. 🌙✨🎄
