At every table, there’s the perfect mix of humans, and that’s the magic of it 🤍

The mum who finally booked a night for herself (who sometimes feelsl like the bedtime negotiator, if you know, you know). The founder who needed to talk to someone outside her industry. The homebody whose friend convinced her to come, and who’s now the first to book the next one. The dreamer who’s inspired someone else to take the leap.

Different lives, different opinions, different minds, same table. I swear we attract some of the most wonderful humans to ever exist.

Let’s take a moment for the gallery that became our reality, thanks to SQUAMISH FLORAL SHOP 🌸 DESIGN + EVENT RENTALS! 🌸

When Emily Shimwell✨ first dreamed up FEAST, she knew how she wanted the day to feel long before she knew exactly what it would look like.

Then came Fleurescent Blooms.

And somehow, they took all of those big, slightly wild ideas living in Emily’s head and turned them into something you could actually walk into.

The flowers.
The lamps.
The chairs.
The tiny details you might not notice at first, but that somehow make the whole room feel different.

And, of course, you can’t forget the velvet tablecloths. A styling decision that our guests are still talking about one year later.

What we love most about working with people like this is that they don’t just make something beautiful. They understand the feeling we’re trying to create and bring their own creativity into it.

They’ve been part of the FEAST story from the beginning, back when we were waving our hands around trying to explain how the day was going to feeeel, with nothing to show for it but a whole lot of enthusiasm.

Now we have the proof in these photos - And FEAST turned out to be even more than we dreamed.

Still dreaming about our British tea party in the middle of our little mountain town to celerbate our 2nd birthday.

Florals, fine china, tiered trays, and mountains right behind us like they’d been invited too.

We had so many of our favourite humans come out to celebrate, and we couldn’t be more grateful.

Year three, we’re sooo ready for you and already know how abundant it’s all going to be 🤍

We don’t think this gets talked about enough: showing up to an event can genuinely be a stressor for some people. (Unlike our founder Emily Shimwell✨ , who would probably strike up a conversation with a lamppost if you let her LOL)

Sometimes just walking through the door is the hardest part of the whole night.

If you’ve ever stood outside an event, maybe your hands on the door, and that little voice starts to tell yourself “ahh maybe I’ll just go home” - this one’s for you.

Coming alone can be uncomfortable. Walking into a room where you don’t know a single face is genuinely one of the most vulnerable things you can do.

Your palms get a little sweaty. You check your phone for something to do with your hands. You wonder if everyone can tell you’re nervous (they can’t).

Here’s something that might help: so many of the humans who come to our events buy their ticket completely on their own. More than you’d think. You are never the only one standing at that door alone.

So here’s what we actually tell people when they ask us how to get through it.

Swipe through. Screenshot it. Save it for the next time your hand’s on that door handle.

And if you’re at one of our events and it’s all feeling like a lot - come find us. We mean that, genuinely 🤍

Going the extra mile isn’t just a tagline for us. It’s the only way we know how to do this - and honestly, it’s the only kind of human we want working alongside us.

It’s sending the handwritten card even when nobody’s expecting one. It’s the small details most people will never clock. It’s crouching down to eye level instead of talking over someone’s shoulder. It’s making sure a glass never sits empty (we try, anyway)

None of this is required or expected. But that’s kind of the whole point.

To every server, vendor, collaborator, or human who has ever gone the extra mile alongside us — thank you. You’ve helped shape every dinner, every panel, every event and none of this could be possible without you.

Going the extra mile and actually taking care of the people who walk through our doors, and the people who help us do it, means more than you could imagine.

We know we tend to attract a pretty special kind of person - ambitious, curious, kind, open-hearted, and genuinely interested in the people around them.

We’re much more interested in what you’re wildly passionate about. What lights you up. What brings that spark into your voice when you talk about it.

There are partners…and then there are the humans who set your soul on fire (as this human so perfectly did when she met our founder Emily Shimwell✨). As soon as she said a huge, ginormous YES to being our Title Partner, we eagerly awaited all month to share her with you!

Coralee~ Culture & People Strategist was our Title Partner for our second birthday celebrations this past Sunday, and we could not have been more honoured to have her alongside us.

C is a People + Strategy Coach who works with leaders to look at how they show up, so they can build cultures and brands that people actually feel. She’s also hilarious, damn honest and brings the life and soul to every table of ours she’s ever sat at.

If you know Coralee, you know she doesn’t just talk about people and culture (although she did on Sunday and it made us tear up and gave us all a huge inspiration boost!). She IS the energy.

We’ve gotten to know her over the last few months and quite honestly, we are WILDLY obsessed with her. Her brain. Her perspective. Her ability to see what’s really going on beneath the surface.

This is exactly why we love the way we do partnerships at Dine Wilder. We’re not interested in slapping a logo on something and calling it a day.

We want partners who believe in what we’re creating. Who care about the room. Who understand that connection, culture, leadership and community are not fluffy extras. They are the whole bloody thing. We want to know and share the human behind the business, not just a graphic.

Perfection - it’s never something we strive for.

From the glasswear to the chairs, the content of the conversation to the questions we encourage our guests to ask. It’s so clear we’re all tired of it. On socials and even more so in real life.

Never is that felt more than at Wilder Side of Business panel events.

We don’t attempt to draw you in with a hook of false promise that we’re going to send you home with life changing skills to upend your career and deliver your highest revenue year. What we do claim is to be a safe place for conversation.

We’re unafraid to bring the topics to the table and hold space for the questions and opinions you might not feel comfortable asking or sharing elsewhere.
