Well if there is anything I’ve learned from running events it is that mistakes are going to happen. Always take ownership and make it right.

I’ve (Micah) been adding skill sets to do better by our sponsors. One was simple graphic design for posters, manipulating logos, sponsor announcements, etc.

Jessie’s Kwik-Way has been a passionate partner and I knew almost certainly she was in for this year’s event. I made a mock up of this poster for testing but had it saved in the same file as completed projects. I accidentally posted her a Silver Sponsor in the past post but she came through in a big way this year and deserves the appropriate recognition.

Jody and Lorrie Slade!!

Selfless, helpful, inspiring, hardworking, ethical, inclusive, fun, friendly.

I could go on for a long time about the immense impact that these two have had on South River disc golf. Simply put without realizing it they rejuvenated and revived the course and league. They are the rock that we all lean on.

You’d think it’s their full time job to grow the sport. Not a person they run into in South River that they don’t try and share their passion and convince to come try. They have made a name as the disc golf people in South River and I can’t think of a better representation of our sport or course.

Without them this event, this course, this community would not be the same.

Thank you doesn’t seem like enough but darn if we wont try.

Kevin thinks all the details through uses data from the industry to keep ahead and push the envelope.

Kevin debuted one of his ideas this year with Discovery Zones which act as an entry level disc golf centers for new players and people discovering the sport to learn more and practice. Great for urban centers and city parks!

Greater Niagara Disc Golf Association!

This is a group is focused on all things related to Fireman’s Park Course in Niagara and Richard Pierpoint Park Course in St. Catharines.

You can find them on facebook and join their group to help grow visibility and many hands make light work.

From what I hear they have stellar course but having a strong community around a course is what can make it special.

Cedar Trail Farm!

Carl and Karyn Haynes are the proud owners of Cedar Trail Farm located just 20 mins outside South River in Golden Valley, ON.

Farm fresh eggs, hydroponic lettuce, and beautiful charcuterie boards and grazing tables.

This company with its large service area likely services your region. They cover most of Southern Ontario.

Nathan Kaye is a staple of the Muskoka disc golf community. Running putting leagues, participating in boards and fundraising, and sponsoring events!

Heck for the kindness of it he picked up baskets in Barrie and delivered them to Sudbury for the new course coming. Just to be helpful cause he could.

This testament to character is how he took his own smaller pest control business grew such a strong customer relationships and base that others took notice. Nathan was approached to combine a bunch of smaller pest control businesses under his banner and leadership. What an honor what a man. He leads by example. Now his business covers Ontario and continues to grow as his approach to customer service and product knowledge is top tier.

Brennan’s Camping and Cabins!

Brennan’s had a lovely group stay out at their property last year and it prompted them to reach out to us to try and link up for an accomodations sponsor.

As we run the event we always focus on the communal aspect and how can keep all the player’s together so they enjoy the experience together.

Jody and myself went out the property early this year to investigate and its gorgeous and only 8 mins from the course. We knew this could be something special. Locally owned and operated. Beautiful sites and infrastructure. Ideal location.

Jessie’s Kwik-Way!!!

Let me tell you about Stacie and the team over at Jessie’s Kwik-Way.
Stacie the owner/operator has been a big blessing to South River disc golf!

Stacie found the sport a few years ago through our event and Lorrie Slade’s efforts to get everyone in South River playing 🙂 She took a liking to the sport and saw an opportunity to grow the sport locally through her business sense and community connections.

Stacie became the first disc golf brick and mortar location in South River and surrounding areas. Taking a leap of faith and committed to be part of the growth she brought in discs, bags, apparel, etc. The community supported her and she was able to make sense of selling disc golf goods.

Stacie is an integral part of the Women’s Disc Golf club in South River. Not only crushing discs but getting new players involved, helping run tourneys, fundraising and paid for all the short tee pads for the ladies to have their own layout. She brings passion and a no nonsense attidue to the sport and made significant changes in South River.

Stacie has been a long time sponsor always supporting the Black Fly! We are very thankful for her hard work and sponsorship.

This year Jessie’s Kwik-Way is the presenting sponsor for both Pro/Am Random Doubles events! She has supplied us with $100 per winning team to her wonderful store.
