Hi folks. The Sechelt Summer Music Series is accepting submissions from acts wishing to perform at the Hackett Park Bandstand, Saturdays at noon, July through August. We will be once again booking just one act per day, so acts should have enough material to carry a 1.5 to 2 hour show. We will not run intermissions. The District of Sechelt is seeking a qualified Producer for the 2025 to 2027 Summer Music Series season! Individuals and/or organizations with event production service experience and a love of live music are encouraged to apply. 🌞🎸

Entering its 12th season, the Sechelt Summer Music Series is a beloved free outdoor concert series held on Saturdays at Hackett Park. These concerts are open to the public and designed to appeal to all ages and musical tastes. Join us in creating an engaging and entertaining experience for Sechelt’s residents and visitors! The series has featured both emerging and professional musicians from the Sunshine Coast, with the occasional guest artist, performing a wide range of musical genres. 🎤🎶

Wow, what a season! A massive shoutout to the incredible musicians and artists who brought the beats and melodies that made our hearts sing. 🎸🎤🥁

To Peter, our sound tech wizard, you made sure every note was pitch-perfect and every beat was felt. Your magic behind the scenes didn’t go unnoticed! 🎛️🔊✨

A special thank you to the two food vendors who joined us for the closing night show. You made sure everyone's taste buds were dancing too! 🌭🍭

And last but definitely not least, to our amazing audience – you brought the energy, the love, and the dance moves! 💃🕺 Your cheers and smiles made every moment unforgettable.

The District of Sechelt is excited to present a special early evening performance to close the Summer Music Series, featuring guest artist Beau Wheeler, a q***r non-binary composer and singer based on the unceded lands of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh peoples known as Vancouver, Canada.

Theirs is a music that encompasses a wide spectrum of human experience. With songs that touch on love, loss and redemption, and an unflagging ability to pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and start all over again. As a q***r artist, their music pulls no punches with songs that remind us that ‘we’ve all been there’ and that no matter how low you are feeling that there’s hope. You’re not alone.
