The final Name That Tune for the season is in the books.
Congratulations to 'If Books Could Kill' for narrowly taking the win, two points ahead of 'Bitchachos' at the The Flying Steamshovel last night.

That left our final overall league table as follows:
1. InSwain in the Brain 11pts
2. If Books Could Kill 7.5pts
3. Gettin' Tuned 5.5 pts
4. Bitchachos 5 pts
5. Mic Check 1 pt

Which means that Team Swain win the grand prize of cat-skiing with Big Red Cats next winter!!

Thank you to everyone who came out and spent Tuesday nights sharing music nerdiness at the Shovel with us this winter.

January's 'Name that Tune' Tuesday at the The Flying Steamshovel is tomorrow!
Including our regular features - Right Tune Wrong Words, Rupert's Radio and 10 in 10 - plus whatever other devious ways we can find to get you to guess songs and their artists.
Teams of up to 6 people and the winning team gets their entire tab for the evening paid off! And the top three teams get points on the overall season leaderboard to see who wins the grand prize at the end of March.

So grab your music nerd friends, make sure your knowledge covers all the genres and decades and we'll see you at the Shovel for beers, food and tunes!

Boo!! This Saturday we're bringing a special spooky version of the Game Show to Trail's downtown Spooktacular event!
There will be 30 minute shows at 11am, 12pm and 1pm at the Charles Bailey Theatre, full of fun and games for kids and families, witches and ghosts!

This weekend will be a momentous and somewhat sad occasion for The Game Show Show.
After 17 years on stage the Game Show Show suit is being retired.

With multiple repairs in its fabric, the unremovable ingrained stink of the sweat from over 100 shows and an embarrassing crotch split from the last show... the time has come.

A new era of stylish 70's-wear will be unleashed to the world at tomorrow's show in Nelson for the BCGEU.

Do you think we should petition for a place for the old suit in the Rossland Museum & Discovery Centre?
