What a night at Douglas Hill! 🌄

The ORS City Championships wrapped up the season with fast racing, big efforts, and tons of smiles. I’ll leave the official race report to Mike and Stefan, but here’s a photo dump from the hill 📸.

Huge congrats to everyone who lined up and left it all out on the trails, and thank you to the whole crew for making the 2025 ORS season such a great one! 🙌

Also, we'd like to extend a thank you to Western Cycle - Bike Shop for their continued support and sponsorship of our club and events. It is much appreciated.

Last, but definitely not least, a BIG... no, MASSIVE thanks to Michael McMurray for organizing an incredible season of racing! None of this happens without the many volunteer hours that he put in; organizing and running races, and putting in time getting Wascana Trails ready for our events there this year, so let's hear it for Mike!

ORS vs. RCC Recap – Gravel Meets Dirt!

This past Wednesday, we hosted a mixed-discipline showdown between ORS and RCC : 18.69 km of gravel leading into two punchy laps of a 4.3 km loop at Wascana Trails. With two dozen riders lining up—mostly on mountain bikes, but with a solid showing of gravel and even a few cross bikes—the stage was set for a proper multi-surface battle.

The mountain bikes proved to have the edge on the day, with Jeff Elias taking the win after a hard-fought duel with Isaac McMurray. Kelly Amberson rounded out the podium in third, and Matt Moore was the top finisher on drop bars, crossing the line fourth overall.

Stephanie Bank finished first of two in the women's category, with Alyssa Shaver crossing second... ON A ROAD BIKE?!

Podiums aside, the real victory was the energy at the finish line. Grins, high-fives, and good vibes all around—this is what the Regina cycling community is all about.

Huge thanks to Michael McMurray for organizing the whole thing—mapping the route, securing sanctioning, even heading out solo to give the trail some pre-race TLC. Shoutout to Stefan Dueck for his help (fractured but unbowed!), and to Bert and Timothy from Western Cycle - Bike Shop for bringing the van, snapping photos, rolling video (dump incoming!), and handing out fresh stickers courtesy of the crew at Western Sports Apparel & Promotions .

We’ll call it a win for everyone.

P.S. Missed the ride but still want a sticker? Swing by Western Cycle—word on the street is they’ve got extras.

What. A. Day.

Has it already been a week?

From the wind-blasted prairie flats to the final climbs, the 2025 Wascana Challenge was one for the books. 💨💪We’ve just uploaded a full gallery of images from the event—check them out, tag your crew, and relive the action!

Huge thanks to our tireless volunteers and to the riders who gave it their all out there.

Shoutout once again to our sponsors, Western Cycle Source for Sports and Hammer Nutrition Canada for fueling the stoke, and to the Saskatchewan Cycling Association and commissaires for keeping it all running smoothly. It goes without saying that the post-race Sandwiches from Italian Star Deli really hit the spot.

Special thanks as well to the Ski Patrol for being on course to keep everyone safe and respond to emergencies—your presence is deeply appreciated.
