To everyone who has applied for Nerd Expo, please read the following carefully:

Wait for an official invoice: If you have applied, please wait to hear directly from us. We have not sent out any E-Transfer requests.

Scammer Alert & System Lockdown: It seems we were targeted by scammers again, which triggered a temporary lockdown on our account.

We are back up and running! I am currently working my way through all the applications and messages now that access is restored.

🔒 What we are doing: We have already implemented extra security steps and keyword moderation tools on our page to automatically block and prevent these scam accounts from commenting on our posts.

Big TCG Energy is Coming to Lacombe this August!

TCG gamers, it’s official! We are bringing a massive TCG Weekend to the Lacombe Centre Mall, and we want to build the perfect schedule for you. Whether you’re a competitive grinder or a kitchen-table casual player, this weekend is for you.

We’re planning a hybrid event on August 22–23 (or August 29–30), combining high-stakes tournaments with a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere.

The Current Vision:
Saturday: The Monster Pokémon Open 🏆 Building on our massive Central Alberta Pokémon community, we’re looking at a full tournament plus drop-in play for other favorites.

Sunday: The Magic & Multiverse Day 🪄 A dedicated day for Magic: The Gathering, featuring a Commander Championship, on-demand pods, and a "Prize Wall" system where playing earns you gear.

All Weekend: The Free-Play Zone 🎲 Dedicated space for Lorcana, Riftbound, and casual games. A safe, inclusive space for families and players of all ages to connect.

We Need Your Voice!

To make sure we have enough table space and the right prize support:
Which game are you maining right now? (Pokémon, MTG, Lorcana, etc.)
Would you travel to Lacombe for a two-day "Circuit-style" experience?
What’s one thing that makes a TCG event "must-attend" for you? (The Prize Wall? The vendors? The community?)

We’re working with local businesses to make this a win for the whole neighborhood—think prizing, local hobby booths, and a space where everyone feels welcome to be themselves.
