Join us October 3rd at the HUMBY for a kitchen party! Niagara’s South Coast Kitchen Party is a collaboration with Food Day Canada to offer a culinary experience that honours Port Colborne’s maritime heritage and celebrates the present day fishmongers, brewers, winemakers, and independent producers and farmers that make Niagara’s South Coast unique.
The Kitchen Party begins at 6:30 pm with an interactive cocktail hour with local beer and wine service, outdoor grill station and live music.  Seafood-centric small plates dinner service and a 60 minute live entertainment set by ScreechedInn will be followed by a bon-fire, music and dancing!

$85 ticket price includes a six-course dinner including dessert. Local beverages available to purchase. Communal seating on patio and in our dining room and cocktail lounge.

Has Chef Mike cooked for you yet at the HUMBY? We rely on his expertise and love of travel to bring delicious flavours to our cooking demos and culinary experiences. If you have an idea in mind of a private culinary experience you are interested in, do message us. Mike can always be counted on to put pen to paper over a pint and bring forward some delicious ideas. He has been instrumental on our team for over 20 years- literally from Day 1 at the Port Colborne Farmers' Market in 2005! :) We love Mike!

August 1st is Food Day Canada!

Food Day Canada is a day for all Canadians to join hands in celebration in praise of our farmers and fishers, our chefs and researchers and, above all, our home cooks.

Food Day Canada is a registered Canadian not-for-profit whose mandate is to raise awareness of Canada's diverse ingredients, rich supply chain and storied agri-food history, through celebration.

Being that August 1st is a historically busy weekend in Port Colborne we are celebrating with Food Day Canada at the HUMBERSTONE on Saturday October 3rd with Niagara's inaugural South Coast Kitchen Party!

The Niagara South Coast Kitchen Party is a culinary experience that honours Port Colborne’s maritime heritage and celebrates the present day fishmongers, brewers, winemakers, and independent producers and farmers that make Niagara’s South Coast unique.

The Kitchen Party begins at 6:30 pm with an interactive cocktail hour with local beer and wine service, outdoor grill station and live music. Seafood-centric small plates dinner service and a 60 minute live entertainment set by Screeched Inn will be followed by a bon-fire, music and dancing!

The Niagara South Coast Kitchen Party is an evening to slow down to savour and celebrate Niagara’s South Coast lifestyle, community, and local producers.

$85 ticket price includes a six-course dinner including dessert. Local beverages available to purchase. Communal seating on patio and in our dining room and cocktail lounge.

A few weeks ago we travelled to India with a special cooking demo coordinated by Movement Unlimited Inc.- a team who has made the HUMBY a second home for team building and intercultural learning. Kesha's mom Falguni treated both our teams to a special Gujarati vegetarian thali. We learned to make eggplant curry, puri, roti, daal, pakoras and the freshest mint chutney. Not pictured was the delicious almond pistachio kheer for dessert. Thankyou to Kesha's mom and the whole team at Movement Unlimited- we love to continue to learn about the world through food!

Korynne rocked a recent wedding party helping out with the kids at the smore station and bonfire. She has earned a glass of cold white on our patio!
