There’s a big difference between aesthetic and atmosphere - and your wedding needs both, but in very different ways.

Aesthetic is the visual story.
The colours, the textures, the décor.

Atmosphere is the full-body experience.
The way a space feels when you walk in.
The movement, the sound, the timing, the scent, the energy.
It’s the 4D part of your celebration that photos can’t fully capture (which makes it even harder to post about, but brought us as close as we could get!).

Pretty candles won’t create atmosphere on their own.
It’s the guest journey, the transitions, the pacing, and the intangible magic that make your wedding feel uniquely yours.

When we design, we always start with atmosphere first, because when the feeling is right, everything else falls into place.

One of our favourite parts of planning is watching a couple’s vision come into focus the moment we connect it back to their why.

K&E’s wedding at Keating Farm is the perfect example.

When we first met, they had ideas about colours, style, and a general feeling… but something wasn’t quite clicking yet. It wasn’t until we started exploring the deeper layers - the emotions they wanted to evoke, what they hoped guests would walk away remembering, and how they wanted to feel throughout the day - that the whole celebration suddenly made sense.

That’s the magic of starting with the heart.

Through intentional questions, thoughtful listening, and walking the property together, we were able to shape a wedding day that honoured their values, their hopes, and the kind of experience they wanted to invite their people into.

And when the day finally came to life, it felt exactly right.
Effortless. Joyful. Connected.

A celebration that reflected not just their aesthetic choices, but the story they wanted to tell.

We’ve been doing a lot of reflecting this year - on the weddings that moved us, the moments that challenged us, and the way we naturally show up for our couples and our team.

Somewhere along the way, we realised… this isn’t just “how we plan.”
It’s a philosophy.

So we named it: The Intended Method.

It’s our way of designing, leading, and caring.

As we put the final touches on our retreat today, we thought we would share why this came to life!

From November 14–16, 2025 at The Reverie Lantzville, we will be stepping into a weekend designed just for wedding pros - equal parts rest, creativity, and strategy - leaving with clarity for the year ahead, deeper community, and energy that lasts.

You’ll feel it in the flow of the day - how seamlessly guests move from sunfilled mountaintop vows to champagne toasts and dance floor laughter.

You’ll see it in the details - like layered stationery on raw-edged paper and heirloom vows tucked into hand-stitched linen.

And most of all, you’ll sense it in the heart of the celebration - joyful, intentional, and entirely them.

This one? A love story written in snow-capped peaks, floral arches, and yes, giant cat head cutouts.

As a company founded by a former teacher, inclusion isn’t a strategy. It’s a human principle. One that shapes everything we do - from how we honour pronouns to how we design ceremonies that reflect chosen relationships and true selves.

Back where it all began - with wildflowers underfoot, sun on our shoulders, and that wide-open mountain view that still takes our breath away.

Our very first Mount Washington wedding lives in our hearts (and camera roll!) forever, and tomorrow, we’re back up the mountain for another beautiful celebration with another incredible couple.

Reminiscing today, making fresh memories tomorrow - and feeling so lucky to do it all in a place this magical. 💛

Behind the scenes, our team was already at their venue, greeting vendors, styling thoughtful details, and making sure the ceremony space was just as radiant as this springtime glow.
