Happy Canada Day 🇨🇦❤️
As immigrants to this beautiful country, Canada Day has a very special meaning for us. There’s something so powerful and heartwarming about seeing entire communities dressed in red and white, gathering in parks, sharing food, smiles, and laughter. It’s not just a celebration, it’s a reminder of the unity, kindness, and inclusion that make this country feel like home.

And for me, personally, it’s even more meaningful , my birthday is on July 2nd!
So when the fireworks light up the sky at night, I can’t help but feel a little extra sparkle. While back in Hungary it’s already tomorrow, here it feels like a magical welcome into a new year of life.
Grateful to be part of this country, and to celebrate surrounded by such warm and joyful community vibes.

⏱️ Speed painting isn’t really my style, I prefer connecting with each kid and making their special moment feel truly theirs.
But when a school community comes together for a good cause, I’m always happy to say yes.

Spring Fling at Hilson Avenue PS was a whirlwind 2 hour event with nearly 200 kids expected. It always amazes me how patiently children wait their turn, even in long lines, and how a quick design can still make them feel seen and special.

What touches me most is that many of the kids I painted were returning faces, some I’ve painted several times before.
It’s such a warm feeling to be part of a community where familiar smiles come back again and again.

Here’s a little glimpse of the fast but fun designs I prepared just for this kind of event.

🎨 I couldn’t have ended this year’s face painting season at a more special or meaningful place.

When we moved here, expecting a baby and with two little ones, we received so much support and a warm, welcoming embrace from this wonderful community at the Hilson EarlyON in Westboro.

This program has been a constant in our lives, a place where we’ve always felt at home, surrounded by kind and caring people. The program leader has enchanted each of our children, creating a magical environment.

From heartfelt conversations and emotional support to the amazing programs filled with creativity and fun, there’s always something new and exciting waiting for us. It’s a place where we can be ourselves, feel valued, and grow as a family.

We are truly grateful to be part of such a special community. The least I could do was give back by adding a little festive magic through face painting for the holidays. I was especially thrilled that even adults joined in the fun this time!

Wishing you all a joyous, peaceful, and love-filled Christmas season. May the holidays bring warmth to your hearts and happiness to your homes. 🎄💖
