Hi everyone!
Today, I want to share the story of a very special little boy and his family who I’ve know for a long time and actually had the opportunity to help them through the amazing organization 2 years ago in Timmins, Ontario. Here’s a shot of us back stage before my performance.

My fiancée’s cousin, Heidi, and her 3-year-old son, Noah, have been residing at Ronald McDonald House in Toronto for the past two years while Noah awaits a life-saving dual liver and kidney transplant. As their stay is coming to an end, they will need to find new accommodations near SickKids Hospital so Noah can continue receiving the critical care he needs.

For our fair, rodeo, ag society, and event organizer friends heading into busy season, this is worth sharing.

Scam and phishing emails targeting fairs, festivals, and vendors are becoming more common. Some scammers are pretending to collect vendor payments on behalf of the fair or event.

In this video, Jason shares a real scam email that was sent to vendors, asking them to pay for their booth at a fair later this summer. It’s a good reminder of what to watch for and how to help protect your team, vendors, volunteers, and guests from fake payment requests.

Please share this with anyone involved in organizing events or working with vendors. A quick heads-up now could help someone avoid a costly mistake later.

They were expecting chaos. It never came.

One event organizer we worked with used online ticketing and POS for the very first time this year during a major live event.
