On August 31st, we booked Rumble Seat Revival to entertain the audience at Centennial Park. Due to the fact that two members of the band were recently injured or hospitalized, the band has been reduced to two members for this gig. Luke, the band leader, and his wife have been performing for fifteen years together. So, I have no concerns about the sudden change of plans.
Along with our vendors, Ween Wag will be there serving his terrific smokies and hot dogs. Naturally, the OK Falls Lions will also be there offering ice cream treats and homemade cookies.
Bring your lawn chairs and the whole gang to Centennial Park for our Labour Day weekend performance.

Wow! Rebel Luv did it again. They drew a terrific and enthusiastic crowd in Centennial Park today. We, who have been involved in the coordination of Music in the Park since the beginning, are so thrilled that Mikie and Ken have continued to enthusiastically entertain us for ten years.
The greatest reward of coordinating Music and Market in the Park is seeing the people enjoying a community gathering with local food and crafts, and great music. Tara and I will miss the festivities when we move away next year.
It takes a lot of people to make our summer program what it is; any one of which, if missing, would seriously impact the popularity of the events. Without our corporate sponsors, our vendors, the bands, the Lions, the food service, and especially the public, Music in the Park would not have grown to the success it has become.

Today we are featuring Rebel Luv, a very popular band from Oliver. Ken and Mikie have been with Music in the Park since the beginning, in 2016.
The market is now open for your perusal. Lots of local crafts and farm goods are available for purchase.
Ween Wag is here serving the best hot dogs and smokies in the land. Hixxee's Gourmet is also here all the way from Keremeos.
Bring the gang, your lawn chairs, and a desire to have a jolly good time.

Continuing with our tenth anniversary celebration, we are featuring Rebel Luv on August 17th. Mikie and Ken have been with us since the very beginning of Music in the Park, and we are so grateful for their lengthy commitment to our community event.
Rebel Luv is sponsored by Greyback Construction Ltd., the people who built the band shell. Greyback has also sponsored a performance since the very beginning of Music in the Park. This year, in honor of our tenth year, Greyback contributed twice their usual amount to our community event. We are grateful for their generosity.
I am so moved by the support of our sponsors, our vendors, and the community. I am also grateful to the bands who are willing to play for a cut rate to accommodate us. I thank you from the heart of my bottom.

What a marvelous day we had at Centennial Park today. The weather threatened, but Grant's voodoo on the clouds kept the rain away.
Let us express our gratitude to all the people who made today's event a big success. The Bench Boys from Naramata did a terrific job. The crowd enjoyed the music and memories very much. Thanks to United Steel Workers, Local 1-423 for sponsoring the band. USW has supported Music in the Park since the beginning, in 2016.
Thanks to the RDOS for the use of their park; the OK Falls Lions Club for their unwavering service to the community; our crafty vendors and most importantly, the public who come out to enjoy the event.

The Bench Boys, from Naramata, will be playing on Sunday, August 3rd, in Centennial Park in OK Falls. The band is sponsored by USW Local 1-423 Kelowna to whom we are grateful for their sponsorship since the beginning of Music in the Park in 2016.
Come and enjoy the market and the music on this BC Day long weekend. There is no charge to attend.

Despite the weather forecast, Centennial Park got only about 5 drops of rain during the entire event. It was so nice to see the people who attended the day. Not a huge crowd by any means. But, everyone enjoyed the market and the Desert Rockers band.

Thanks to our vendors, Ween Wag and Hixxee's Gourmet, the OK Falls Lions Club, and especially the attendees who brought life to a somewhat dismal day.
The next event is on Sunday, August 3 (BC Day long weekend) featuring our market and, on stage, the Bench Boys from Naramata.

Market in the Park in Okanagan Falls is now open. The sun is shining and we have a delightful breeze happening. The Desert Rockers begin their performance at 5:00 p.m. and play until 8:00.

Today was another great day at Music and Market in the Park. Attendance was low, probably due to the heat. It got to 39C in the park. Kudos to everyone who endured the sweltering heat.
A huge thank-you goes out to all the great vendors and participants in today's festivities.
Much gratitude goes out to the Blueshounds for their excellent performance, and to Greyback Construction for sponsoring the band.
The next event is only seven days away. On July 20th we will be featuring an OK Falls band called Desert Rockers. The weather next week is forecast to be much cooler than today.
