◦•●◉Happy Thanksgiving Weekend ◉●•◦
This year, more than ever, we have so much to be thankful for. It’s been arguably one of the most difficult years for many people. But also one of the most amazing years.
Yes. I said it. It’s been one of the most amazing years. I can see all your heads shaking. Mouths wide open in shock! Hear me out...
This year has forced everyone to slow down. It’s forced us to stay home with our families. Hobbies that many of us had forgotten about, we are back to enjoying. Seniors who were often neglected, are now regularly checked up on by their neighbours. When someone is sick, even the slightest cough, their community rallies together to drop food on their porch to keep their bellies full and hearts warm. It’s almost like we all needed this reality check to remember what truly is important.
This year has definitely been a struggle for our family. Far too many months stuck home not seeing friends and family. I’ve watched my children’s mental health go down the drain. It’s been hard.
But here we are, in wave four of this horrible pandemic, spending this Thanksgiving weekend alone at home, and I am happy! And oh so grateful.
My children are running around, clearly with ants in their pants. We are sitting in the backyard with a fire going, roasting marshmallows. No commitments. No stress. The house is destroyed. As is my shop.
But that’s okay. Because we have our health, our family and our home. And wine. Lots and lots of wine. And pie.
🥧 What are YOU most Thankful for during this crazy year? 🍷
