Scarecrow Submission Update & Surprise Prize Awards!
1st, 2nd & 3rd place prizes for The First Ever Eastern Shore Scarecrow Contest will be awarded in 2 more days, on October 31st. There's still time to enter to win some amazing prizes from awesome businesses along the Eastern Shore! If you just can't find the time to make a Scarecrow and you want to donate to the food bank on behalf of this Eastern Shore Community Event you can send an e-transfer over to [email protected], and just make the answer to the security question "donation". Thank you to everyone who has donated and participated this far!
We have an update from one of our previous submissions formerly known as "Rock of Elders". Unfortunately Mrs Elder's pumpkin head didn't make it...so the submission will now be "Drunken Gene Simmons". We never know how much time we have left, even if you're a pumpkin head, so we ought to use our time wisely! The last surprise prize award (for today!) is going to Jeff Quigley for "Jeepers Creepers" which was the first Scary Scarecrow submission. Congratulations, you Win the $25 Gift Certificate to PBJ Eatery! The owner Pam tells me she may be in Porter's Lake this coming weekend, but check the page for updates to be sure. They're known for the deep fried PB & J Sandwich...SO Good! I had their PBJ Bacon Burger last weekend at a Fall Market in Cole Harbour and Deep Fried Oreos! 🤤
