🇲🇬 This song is about what is happening in the country I was born in: Madagascar

I always hear from my family in Mada about how they’d like to leave. They live in a country with such rich culture, biodiversity, natural resources… and yet, most people can’t access water, electricity, healthcare, or education, while the government is spending ridiculous amounts on themselves.

Right now, there are people in Madagascar demanding access to these basic rights. They’re unarmed, and yet their demands are met with real bullets from security forces.

Cette chanson parle de ce qui se passe dans le pays où je suis née : Madagascar.

J’entends souvent ma famille dire qu’elle aimerait partir. Ils vivent dans un pays riche en culture, biodiversité et ressources naturelles… et pourtant beaucoup n’ont pas accès à l’eau, l’électricité, aux soins ou à l’éducation, alors que le gouvernement dépense excessivement pour son propre intérêt.

En ce moment, beaucoup de personnes à Madagascar demandent l’accès à ces droits fondamentaux. Elles sont sans armes, et leurs demandes sont accueillies par des cartouches.
