Kariyapaak [not Kariya Park] 😉, Hyderabadi synonym for curry leaves🌿

These aren’t just leaves, these are EVERYTHING in Indian cooking especially added to the “tadka” or “bagaar” to numerous dishes without which the dish is INCOMPLETE!

To be specific, there’s no khatti dal without bagaar no khatta (with khichdi) without bagaar , no chicken 65 (although the richness lies in the chicken itself- its still missing a great factor if there’s no bagaar of kariyapaak). 🌿

Adding to the flavors and aroma, curry leaves act as a boon to one’s health, carrying many benefits.

Many homes in Hyderabad have huge trees of currypatta but grown and cared with utmost love and caution here in Canada. 🌿

Many would agree to this 😆🌿 who tirelessly keep regrowing their kariyapaak in tiny pots!!

Welcome back again. Here we are introducing another delicacy of Hyderabad. Originated in southern Indian state with many myths and stories cooked up regarding its discovery ;)
