This is a beautiful Red Maple flower! After pollination, these flowers grow into little paired winged fruits called samaras.
We always called them Maple keys, or helicopters!
Did you call them something different?

World Labyrinth Day at Elm Tree Centre
Celebrating World Labyrinth Day & Therapeutic Touch® Awareness Week
May 2nd, 2026. 10am-4pm.

Come enjoy a walk with friends through the labyrinths and property at Elm Tree Centre, celebrating world labyrinth day.
Everyone is invited to participate in this moving meditation for world peace. We will “Walk as One at 1” local time, where we join people all around the world who are walking their labyrinths at 1pm to create a rolling wave of peaceful energy passing from one time zone to the next.

We are also celebrating the 10th Annual Therapeutic Touch® Awareness Week.
Martha Hoey, a Recognized Therapeutic Touch practitioner-teacher
will be giving mini sessions, demonstrations, and angel readings all day!

Happy 8th birthday to this ravenous wild animal! He might be a cute potato loaf most of the time. But he's also a mystical, magical, psychotic terror.
He started his morning off by barking at the birds for being too loud! How dare they!
Then snuggled on the couch with Stu!
Later we will do dog walks and more naps. They're one of his favourite things, second to literally any food item.
