Well yesterday was our first event!
The tent frames went up super slick and quickly! However, by the time we got to the tarps that made everything all fancy the wind picked up and was not a helping hand.
We tried so hard to make the tents work but did not have anything that was a match for the wind.
Out of safety and equipment failure, we had to pull the plug on this one. Disappointing to say the least 😞
As Chris’ mom and mentor, I felt pretty bad and worried that Chris would feel pretty defeated about his first try.
What Chris had to say….this was a good learning experience and now we know what winds are going to be a major problem in setting up our tents. Also, we have learned of a few tools that may make future events even safer and sturdier.
We wanted to thank the Town Of Middleton for this opportunity, and hope to be back stronger and with a little luck on our side.
Entrepreneurship is a lot of work behind the scenes that no one sees. It is a job that can sometimes be very unrewarding especially if your gig is weather dependent. But like a true entrepreneur, one dusts themselves off and ready themselves to try again. And again and again…
