🇹🇹 FROM A BLANK WALL… TO KES COMING ALIVE. 🎨🔥

There is something incredible about watching an artist take a blank wall and slowly give it life.

Stroke by stroke.
Shadow by shadow.
Detail by detail.

And the man behind this one is Greg of . 🎨

We had a vision for Trini Island Cuisine. We wanted more than decorations on our walls. We wanted our space to tell the story of Trinidad and Tobago.

Our music.
Our people.
Our culture.
Our memories.

And Greg understood the assignment.

Watching him airbrush Kes onto this wall was something else. You could literally see the portrait coming alive right in front of us.

Because for Trinidadians living away from home, music does something to you.

One Kes song can take you straight back to Carnival.

Back to a lime.

Back to family.

Back to that feeling you really can’t explain unless Trinidad is somewhere inside of you. 🇹🇹❤️

That is what we are creating at Trini Island Cuisine.

Yes, we serve Trinidadian Food, Caribbean Cuisine and Authentic Trini Food, but this restaurant is becoming something much more personal to us.

🇹🇹 SOME CATERING JOBS FEED PEOPLE. THIS ONE FED THE HEART. ❤️

There was something especially meaningful about preparing food for this occasion.

Trini Island Cuisine had the honour of providing the catering for the Interfaith Service of Thanksgiving, as our community came together in faith, gratitude and unity to celebrate Trinidad and Tobago’s 50th Anniversary as a Republic. 🇹🇹

“Many Voices of Faith, One Song of Thanksgiving.”

Those words really capture what the day represented.

For those of us living away from Trinidad and Tobago, moments like these remind us that home is more than a place on a map. Home is our faith. Our people. Our traditions. The familiar conversations across a table. The laughter. And yes, the food that can take you straight back home with one taste.

That is why catering an event like this means so much to us.

Every pot prepared by Trini Island Cuisine carried a little piece of Trinidad with it. Authentic Trini food made here in Canada, but rooted in the flavours, memories and traditions that raised us.

We are grateful to have been trusted to serve our community on such a significant occasion, and we thank the organizers for allowing Trini Island Cuisine to be part of this beautiful celebration.

From Trinidad and Tobago to Canada, we continue carrying our culture with us. ❤️🤍🖤

Now THIS is how you do a bachelor weekend! 😂🇹🇹🎉

A group of gentlemen crossed the border and came to Niagara Falls to celebrate their friend’s bachelor party. And with all the places they could have chosen to eat… guess what they were craving?

TRINI FOOD! 🇹🇹🔥

So they made their way to Trini Island Cuisine, pulled up a table and enjoyed some hot doubles, roti, good food, plenty laughs and a proper lime before continuing their celebration.

We absolutely loved having them with us. Moments like these are what we want Trini Island Cuisine to be about. Good food bringing people together, whether you’re from around the corner or crossing the border into Canada.

To the groom, congratulations from all of us at Trini Island Cuisine! 🥂❤️

We wish you nothing but love, happiness, patience, laughter and God’s blessings as you step into this beautiful new chapter of your life.

🇹🇹 WEDNESDAY LUNCH AT TRINI ISLAND CUISINE! 🇹🇹

Some meals does just remind you of home. ❤️

Today we’re serving up a proper plate of Stew Oxtail, Peas & Rice and Fry Plantain. Rich, tender oxtail falling off the bone, plenty gravy soaking into the rice, with sweet golden plantain on the side. 😍

The kind of lunch where halfway through the plate, everybody gets quiet because the food doing all the talking. 😂🇹🇹

Some foods don’t need an introduction. The minute you hear Bake & Shark, you already know the scene... hot fry bake, fresh out the oil, packed up with shark and all those flavours that bring you straight back home. 🇹🇹❤️

Today at Trini Island Cuisine, our Tuesday Special is BAKE & SHARK.

Freshly made bake.
Real shark.
Fresh lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber and pineapple, dressed up with our sauces and made the Trini way. 😋

Messy? Maybe a little. 😂
Worth it? Every single bite.
