Well… we have a little garden update!

We got home late last night, so it was too dark to see just how much frost damage the garden had actually gotten Tuesday morning…

Well, guess what?! THE GARDEN DID NOT GET HIT BY FROST! 🤭 Somehow, once again, it completely missed us!

We messaged our neighbour Monday and told them to go over and cut as much as they’d like and this is what we had left!

Today we spent the rest of the day cutting down the garden and getting everything tucked away for next season. So, these are officially THE VERY LAST BLOOMS of our 2026 season! 🫶

🌸 The flower stand is officially closed… but the garden isn’t quite done with us yet!

You may have noticed there’s no stand this weekend. With the weather becoming so unpredictable, we’ve decided to officially close the self-serve stand for the rest of the year as mentioned last weekend!

But here’s the thing… we haven’t had frost yet! 👀

Once frost hits, our dahlias turn black and it’s time to dig up those precious tubers and tuck them away for next year. The flowers are definitely starting to slow down, the stems aren’t as long and the plants are looking a little tired, but they’re still giving us some beautiful blooms!

So for now, it’s a day-by-day kind of thing. We’ll see what the garden looks like when we get home later this week!

We’re currently away celebrating our one-year anniversary and enjoying a little mini pre-baby getaway. 🤍

So… who knows? Maybe there are still a few surprise blooms waiting for us when we get home.

Thank you for making our very first flower season so special. We truly couldn’t have done it without you!

The frost hasn’t won just yet!

We’re happy to say the plants are still hanging on and giving us a few more beautiful blooms!

While the frost hasn’t completely taken them out, the season is definitely coming to an end due to the stems that are growing, are too small for big bouquets.

GOOD MORNING!

We tried to go live… and we tried to upload our video… but apparently technology had other plans for us, Sometimes that’s just life!

So instead, here’s the update: the self-serve flower stand will be out ALL WEEK LONG while supplies last! 💐

The nights and early mornings are getting much colder, which means our growing season is quickly coming to an end. There’s no guarantee that our flowers will last as far into October as we had hoped or even to next weekend… it’s day by day.. so if you’ve been meaning to grab one of our dahlia & zinnia bouquets, now is definitely the time!

The last of the blooms are coming 🥹

I can’t believe we’re already at the point in the season where we’re talking about the last of the flowers. It feels like just yesterday we were planting, growing, watching the first blooms open, and filling the stand every weekend.

There are still a few beautiful blooms to come, but the end of the season is officially in sight.
