🇨🇦 Congratulations to Our Own Marylou Ferguson for receiving the Royal Canadian Legion Meritorious Service Medal!🇨🇦

The members of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 441 Kinmount are incredibly proud to announce that Marylou Ferguson has been awarded the Meritorious Service Medal (MSM)—one of the highest honours that can be bestowed upon a Legion member.

This award recognizes individuals whose dedication, leadership, and exceptional service have gone well beyond what is normally expected in support of the Royal Canadian Legion’s mission. Recipients are honoured for making an outstanding and lasting impact through their commitment to Veterans, Remembrance, their communities, and the Legion itself. It is an award reserved for members whose service truly stands out and serves as an inspiration to others.

Marylou has devoted countless hours to our Branch and our community with compassion, generosity, and unwavering dedication. Her leadership, volunteerism, and commitment to serving others have touched the lives of many, and this recognition is a wonderful reflection of everything she has given to the Legion family.

🇨🇦 Thank You for Celebrating 100 Years With Us! 🇨🇦

On behalf of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 441 Kinmount, thank you to everyone who joined us as we celebrated the 100th Anniversary of The Royal Canadian Legion and shared in our cake-cutting ceremony.

It was wonderful to see members, friends, families, and community supporters come together to recognize a century of service, remembrance, and dedication to Canada’s Veterans. Your presence helped make this milestone even more meaningful.

For 100 years, the Legion has stood as a place of support, camaraderie, and remembrance, and we are proud to continue that tradition here in Kinmount. Celebrating this historic milestone with our community reminds us that the strength of our Branch comes from the people who continue to support it.

Thank you for helping us honour our past while looking forward to the future. Here’s to the next 100 years of service, remembrance, and community.

🎯 That’s a Wrap on Summer Mixed Darts! 🎯

As another great summer comes to a close, we’d like to thank everyone who came out to our Summer Mixed Darts nights. It was a great season filled with friendly competition and plenty of laughs!

A big thank you to all of our players, volunteers, and supporters for making this summer such a success.

While summer darts may be over, there’s more fun on the way! Saturday Horseshoes will be starting soon, so stay tuned to our page for more information and updates.

We hope everyone enjoys the rest of the summer, and we look forward to seeing you all back in the fall for another fantastic dart season!

🌺 Don’t Forget to Remember 🌺

As we celebrate 100 years of The Royal Canadian Legion, we invite our community to take part in the “Don’t Forget to Remember” campaign.

Remembrance isn’t limited to one day. It lives in the stories we share, the names we speak, and the gratitude we pass from one generation to the next.

Visit Kinmount Legion Branch 441 and write a short message of Remembrance on a sticky note. Share what Remembrance means to you, honour a Veteran or loved one, express your gratitude, or leave a few words in memory of those who served.

Each handwritten message will become part of a special commemorative mural honouring the service, sacrifice, and memory of Canada’s Fallen as part of the Legion’s 100th Anniversary celebrations.

We encourage everyone—young and old—to stop by and add their message. Together, we can ensure that the legacy of our Veterans continues to inspire future generations.
