This time last year I was pressing real mushrooms, this season I wanted to create something a little more playful and whimsical.

Every season has its challenges and this year is showing up with lots of growth along with it.
With summer coming to an end and I move into fall I’m excited to share a few changes & updates!

ETSY
After 13 years of being on Etsy I’ve decided to put it on ‘pause’ indefinitely. With the upcoming tariff changes shipping into the US (which is the bulk of my Etsy orders), rising costs (estimating almost 50% of my profits 😳), AND the time it takes away from larger orders & my art, I decided this is the best way forward. It saddens be to give it up but know it is the best choice to give me space to find new ways to challenge my business and grow.

WEBSITE ORDERS
You can still order all my pressed flower art, cards & gifts direct through my website & Faire Wholesale (yes this US based company takes a big chunk too so always shop direct when you can) but for the time being I will only be shipping within Canada. Fingers crossed this is temporary.

MARKETS
I’m thrilled to announce I am increasing my dates this fall to bi-weekly! (See market dates on my website). I’m very excited to be in Wolfville on a more regular basis and see how that feels as we go into the busy fall season. I only plan to attend 1-2 holiday markets this fall so I don’t burn out trying to do too much on my own (hard lessons learned) . This will also allow me to focus more on your commission pieces & website orders.

I honestly love change, and although some of it has been out of my control it’s a welcomed push to experiment with things in my art and business… great things can happen with a little pressure ☺️

Preserving your beautiful wedding flowers is a huge part of my business during the summer and fall months. They start arriving in June after a somewhat quiet winter and spring of creating and fuelling my own creativity with personal art projects and collections.

Making art I love and proud of while having creative freedom is why I started this business 6 years ago. I wanted my art to be a reflection of me (not something found on a Pinterest board) and have a specific style that when you look at it you know it’s mine, because it flows from my soul.

It’s taking time for my art to evolve into something I’m super proud of, and I’m sure it will continue to change in the future but I wanted to take a moment and reflect on how important this process is to me. I wanted you to know when you book me to preserve your wedding flowers or a special piece that you can trust my process, know that I will treat your flowers and the artwork like it’s my own and that even though it takes time, your flowers are in the best hands.

After a long and very fast paced summer season (that’s not over yet) I want to thank you all for loving my art, giving me the time and creative freedom to do what I love and make art that not only reflects my own personal style, but also holds your precious memories.
