The Pu or conch shell is a gift from the life giving oceans. with a sound that blows across the Aina, the land. The blowing of the conch shell is sacred and it used in religious and secular traditions. It has multiple purposes and communicates various meanings.
We use it before a ceremony to announce the official beginning.
