Then —> Now
Headshots every year from 2021 at my first ever client paid private dining, to the last headshot for updates on my website from bestie .photo last year
Food photos from 2022-2025 and the final 3 videos from this year for 2026
Today marks Sage & Plates 5th birthday! Which seems WILD to say.
Some things that haven’t changed //
🌿 my love for a vibrant sour, a hazy beer & a natural wine (honourable mention to caffeine and water)
🌿 leading with intention — in forms on food sourcing, plating, team leadership, connections
🌿 creating plates for the eyes, the palate and the soul
🌿 work life balance — it’s been a practice but it remains to come in waves and keeps me grounded
🌿 how feckin’ hard this all is, it never stops but wouldn’t be doing literally anything else
What has changed over the years //
🌿 my outlook on business ownership & hospitality — both are more similar than I thought and they will make or break my business model
🌿 don’t be a hero — delegate, the team is there and they’re amazing
🌿 my pant size 🤣 not in a bad way, I just love to eat hahah (also age, greys and how quickly my body bounces back 😛)
🌿 5 year life plan from when I first opened
🌿 looking back on the evolution of how we prepare, execute & plate food — so cool to see the growth and find the style that people recognize us for
🌿 bought another business and absorbed it into my own to take over the space and create my second babe 🤎
Going into this 5th year, more grateful than ever. Intention is all around me, ideas keep coming, growth is inevitable & there’s a community of people who want to be a part of this story — what’s not to be grateful for?
Anyways, thanks for being here. It’s make the hard days brighter and the bright days are worth everything 🤍
