After an incredible evening of talent, passion, and unforgettable performances, we are thrilled to announce that the winner of the $1,000 Grand Prize at Hespeler's Got Talent 2026 is...

🎤 Madelena Margaret Byrnell! 🎤

Madelena captivated both our judges and audience with a stunning performance of her original song, "Good Karma." An emerging local singer-songwriter, Madelena loves sharing her own music and bringing her stories to life through performance.

When asked where she feels most confident, Madelena says, "I feel my best when I'm on stage." It's easy to see why. Her natural stage presence, authenticity, and talent shone brightly throughout the competition.

Madelena is not only a gifted musician but also an accomplished performer with a background in local musical theatre, including a role in Les Misérables with Cambridge's Penny & Pound Theatre Productions. She continues to make her mark on the local arts scene and is scheduled to perform live at the Cambridge Celebration of the Arts Festival on June 20th 12:15 PM on the Market Stage.

One of Madelena's favorite quotes is: "There is nothing stronger than a person with a dream and determination."

That determination was on full display, and we couldn't be more proud to celebrate her achievement.

🎶 Special Live Steel Drum Performance During Judges' Deliberation 🥁

As if our incredible finalists weren't enough...

While audience votes are being counted and our judges deliberate, we're excited to welcome Erica Dookie to the Hespeler's Got Talent stage!

A talented local musician, educator, and member of PanWaves Steelband, Erica has been performing since the age of five. She has appeared throughout Ontario, including Toronto's Caribana Parades and the Opening Ceremonies of the 1998 Ontario Summer Games, and has been sharing her passion for music with audiences for decades.

Erica will entertain the crowd with a lively steel drum performance while we build anticipation for the biggest moment of the night...

🌟 MEET THE JUDGES 🌟

Michael Napier is a Cambridge entrepreneur, musician, and proud co-owner of Ernie's Cookhouse in Hespeler. A passionate supporter of local music and live entertainment, he has spent years creating opportunities for performers to showcase their talents, including through Ernie's popular Open Mic Nights. His experience as both a performer and business owner makes him a valued member of the Hespeler's Got Talent judging panel.

Nick Vokey Music is a Hespeler based musician and entertainer known for his powerful vocals, energetic performances, and ability to connect with audiences. As frontman of The Nick Vokey Band and solo performer, he performs throughout the region at festivals, community events, and local venues, earning a reputation for creating memorable live music experiences. His passion for performance and support of local talent make him a great addition to the Hespeler’s Got Talent judging panel.

Dennis Napper is a seasoned singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist with more than 30 years in the music industry. He is known for his dynamic stage presence and versatile musicianship. As frontman of the band Junkyard Delight, as well as a solo and duo performer, Dennis has entertained audiences across the region for decades. His extensive experience as a performer, entertainment director, booking agent, and community advocate brings valuable insight to the Hespeler’s Got Talent judging panel.

Over two incredible days, singers, musicians, dancers, entertainers, and performers of all kinds stepped into the Hespeler's Got Talent auditions and gave it their all.

Some were seasoned performers. Some were stepping on stage for the very first time. Every single contestant showed courage, passion, and heart ... and we're so proud of each and every one of them.
