Yesterday, a small act of kindness found its way into the Notre-Dame Cemetery ~ Ottawa.
Together with a dear friend, I left bouquets for anyone visiting a loved one on Father's Day. No expectations. No catch. No reason other than the hope that a small and simple bouquet might bring a moment of comfort, connection, or peace to someone. To anyone. 🩷
This idea was inspired by my sweet friend, Shalin (Shay), owner of Sensitive Soul Space
Through her own journey of grief after losing her Dad, Shay has built a community of connection, hope, and love; a place where every soul is embraced with kindness, compassion, and the safety to shine.
Inspired by the importance of honoring ourselves and those we love, through mediumship, intuitive insights and soulful guidance, Shay reminds us how beautifully connected we all are. ✨️
To honor Shay's Dad, who's been the source of inspiration in her life, I chose to share this act of kindness on Father's Day.
As I walked through the cemetery, I was reminded that every headstone holds a story. A father. A mother. A child. A friend. A life that mattered deeply to someone. A physical connection lost, and a spiritual connection born.
Sometimes we underestimate how much a small gesture can mean. A flower. A smile. A conversation. A moment of being seen. The world can feel heavy at times, but kindness has a way of creating little pockets of light. ✨️
My hope is that anyone who came across these flowers yesterday, felt a little less alone, felt seen, felt understood, and felt a connection, if only for a moment.
If this post inspires anything, I hope it's simply this: reach out to someone. Check in on a friend. Offer a kind word. Leave flowers. Share a memory.
Human connection is one of the most beautiful gifts we can give each other. 🩷✨️
Sending much love to everyone missing someone today. 🤍🪽
