Benny Blanco admitted about that he used a “One Wish Willow” to make Selena Gomez fall in love with him has unexpectedly dragged OBSESSION right back into the spotlight.

For horror fans, the reference instantly stood out because the One Wish Willow is one of the most disturbing parts of the film, a supernatural object that grants a person's deepest desire but leaves devastation in its wake.

Whether Benny meant it as a joke or not, it's pretty wild seeing a major celebrity reference a key piece of horror lore from one of the most talked about movies of the year and accidentally send people back down the OBSESSION rabbit hole.

Mark is a local writer passionate about the film scene in Halifax, having Written and Directed multiple films such as, The Killing of Kings (2004), Aliens with Knives (2018) and Smartificial(2020).

I feel as though a lot more people can relate to Pamela, but I for one would think Carries Powers were super cool, and symbolized female empowerment, but I was not her mother.
