Did you know that our owner & founder, Nicola, is a certified member of the Sustainable Floristry Network? She's one of only eight Canadian Floral Designers holding this certification! 🌼

The floral industry is notorious for waste (think single-use packaging, petrochemical-based floral foams, and long-distance shipping), but by investing in education & skill development, our team can make informed decisions to reduce our environmental impact, provide our clients with fresher, locally grown blooms, and ensure that the world is left a more beautiful, thriving place.

This field of Canadian-grown daffodils was designed by Nicola last Spring, completely foam-free.

There’s a common belief that faux florals are the new “eco” choice. We get why - on the surface, it sounds logical.

But sustainability in floristry is about more than whether something can be reused.

Plastic flowers are petroleum-based, mass-produced, shipped long distances, and eventually end up in the landfill - where they will outlive all of us.

Real flowers? They’re temporary by nature. They return to the earth. And when sourced thoughtfully, designed intentionally, and composted properly, they’re part of a much gentler cycle.

Sustainability doesn’t mean perfect. It means caring, asking better questions, and choosing beauty that aligns with your values.

If that resonates with you, we’re probably a good fit 🤍
