I am so excited to announce that we are off on an adventure to beautiful Vancouver Island! Beginning in July, elkae creative will officially be based in Nanaimo— whaaaat! ☀️

The Edmonton area has been my home for the past 32 years and the wedding industry here has been SO good to elkae since day 1. I feel so unbelievably blessed by all the amazing people I’ve met and connections I’ve made here. We leave with heavy, hopeful, and grateful hearts. 🌼

I’ll release future booking details as they unfold and we get settled in our new space, but for the remainder of this season, I plan to be immersing myself in our new community and working on exciting new things for the 2023 wedding season!

We’ve been living in limbo, staying with family while we wait to take possession of our new house. I’ve been working away on this year’s weddings and sending off florals to their new homes 🌼

This season of life has been WILD in our house! We knew we would likely be moving in July, but didn’t know where—and then in Feb, found out that we have to be out of our place in April 🥵.

This is normally my most favourite time, creatively, as styled shoots become more frequent and I’m able to do some of my most fun creating 🌼
Unfortunately, that’s put on hold for now, as we pack up our little house and prepare to bunk with family for the next few months.

I have a bigger move-announcement to make in the coming months, once I’ve had a chance to formulate my words and get all of this packing under my belt—wish me luck! 😅

Anyone else feel like 2021 has simultaneously been the longest & shortest year?

I’ve taken an extended break from emails & posting—- Christmas was soo busy for us and the lead-up to it was the same. I’ll be back responding to everyone in January! Hope everyone’s had a great holiday ✨
