Our Story
Coco’s Nest has been around since 2009. Lito and I (Grace), A husband and wife team who used to just dream of owning a restaurant. My husband worked as a Chef while I completed my Accounting Diploma. We spent endless hours just talking about the things we wanted to do if we ever own a restaurant, the different kinds of dishes to offer our clients and how we can fully utilize both our skills and talents. When our son Lexx was born in 2008, we wanted to be able to spend more time with our child and be together as a family. That’s when we decided, we will make our dream a reality. We quit both our full time jobs and started to put our thoughts and dreams into action. We invested every penny we own and with all confidence, we opened our very first restaurant in Clareview. We started offering fast food items and gradually introduced the different Western and Filipino dishes to our clients. After a while, we added the catering and event planning. Gradually, Coco’s Nest started to be recognized, not just by Filipinos but other ethnicities as well. Our partnership is working. Lito work behind the scene taking care of menu planning and food preparations while I take care of the customers, organizing reservations and event planning. We developed a steady flow of customers and later, catering orders started coming in. We adjust to the needs of our customers. Sometimes a request for Halal meat to be used instead of the regular pork, beef or chicken. Vegetarian and gluten free dishes are available as well. Our event caterings are booked months ahead.
The name “Coco” was taken from our pet bird cockatiel’s name, Coco. For the longest time, we thought she was a “he” until one day when we are about to start our restaurant venture, she laid an egg and a few more after that. Coco’s Nest was born.
We know how hard it is to start a business from scratch. Coco’s Nest is open for franchising opportunities. A developed way of doing business, systems, assistance and product recognition of clients. You don’t necessarily need business experience to run a franchise. It cost less to buy a franchise than start your own business.
