Save this before you book 📌 Church weddings have rules most photographers aren't ready for.

No flash during the ceremony 🚫 No walking down the center aisle. No moving around while vows are being said. Some officiants won't allow photographers past a certain point at all. If your photographer hasn't shot a church ceremony before, these restrictions can catch them off guard mid-vows, and that's not a moment you get a second try at ⛪

We've worked inside these rules enough times to know how to get the real, unposed shots without breaking a single one of them 🤍

If you get shy in front of a camera in public, we've heard you before you even said it.

We've had grooms who wouldn't make eye contact with the lens, brides who froze the second strangers walked by, couples who begged us to skip the "romantic walk" shot entirely. We still got the photo.

We go to real lengths for it. Quiet corners instead of crowded ones, a joke right before we lift the camera, giving you something to do with your hands, shooting from far enough away that you forget we're there at all. This Father Daughter dance ❤️❤️

Last weekend we photographed a lovely wedding in Saint Paul, Alberta.
