MY STORY — FROM DESTRUCTION TO HOPE
My story comes from a place of leading a life of destruction and having to slowly rebuild my life and, most importantly, rebuild myself when I had hit rock bottom.
My story comes from a place of heartache, struggles, mistakes, and moments when I wanted to give up. But through God, my children, prayer, and the strength I found within myself, I continued my journey.
I faced hardships, barriers, and obstacles because of the past I was working so hard to overcome. But those experiences didn’t destroy me — they molded me. They pushed me to try harder, to become stronger, and to use my experiences to help others.
Today, I want to share my story so that our youth can see that your past does not have to determine your future.
I want to share hope with those who may be struggling, because realistically, life isn’t always sunshine and rainbows. Life is hard. People struggle. We fall. We make mistakes. We sometimes lose our way. But we can get back up.
Sometimes, all we need is to hear that we are not alone. We need to know that someone else has walked through the darkness and made it to the other side.
If my story can inspire even one young person to keep going, then sharing it is worth it.
