Chrysalis Ceremonies: Rev. Catherine McColl, Life-Cycle Celebrant

Chrysalis Ceremonies: Rev. Catherine McColl, Life-Cycle Celebrant I'm an ordained Metaphysical minister & Certified Life-Cycle Celebrant™ and Ceremony Officiant I am here to help!

As a Metaphysical Minister, I believe there are many ways to connect us - with each other, with nature, with the universe, with the Divine. I believe in the power of ceremony to create and build those connections. Serving my community, serving my couples and serving families - I love to learn all about a couple’s Love Story- or- all about the Life Story of a loved one who has passed - and create p

ersonalized and memorable ceremonies to celebrate those significant transitions in life. And how about welcoming a new wee babe with a Baby Naming Ceremony? If you are getting married, or want to renew your original vows, or need help in celebrating/ remembering the life of a dear one, or want to celebrate the birth of your child, please give me a call.

The sun came out, although the clouds still hugged the mountains across the river. The couple were SO excited for this day! They exchanged their beautiful vows at the bend of a public footpath with the glory of nature all around. And some walkers graciously stopped at a distance and waited for the short and sweet ceremony to complete before walking through and offering their congratulations. An exciting champagne toast completed the special moment for these two!

Waiting to see if this afternoon's elopement can be held outside...the weather is a bit iffy as it's been raining this morning. My lovely bride really wants to hold the ceremony outside, so fingers crossed the clouds pass and some blue sky appears! :)

All weddings are wonderful - no matter how large or how small. On Saturday last, I had the privilege of joining T & C in marriage on the banks of a local river. We celebrated the 4 Directions, joined them in a handfasting, and gave a blessing to the new baby that is soon to come. As I was pronouncing them "Married", a Canada Geese couple flew past, directly overhead, side by side! Then after being pronounced married, they chose to be wrapped in a beautiful buffalo blanket that belonged to the lovely bride 's mother. A truly spiritual moment. Love glowed, love flowed.

Awaiting a wedding ceremony for a lovely couple. At Pier 7 Restaurant, on the waterfront in North Vancouver.

💘Valentine's Day has come and gone. Was an important question asked and answered? :) Did you receive a ring? Did Cupid's arrow find it's way? 💘 Planning to make it legal in 2026? Let's have a chat! I would love to collaborate with couples who want their wedding ceremony to be as meaningful and memorable as possible.

It is World Celebrant Week, and a lovely time to think back on the last 14 years - how long I've been a practicing Certified Life-Cycle Celebrant! What a wonderful "encore career" this has been since I retired from corporate life! Getting to be a part of significant milestone moments in the lives of my clients has been so rewarding. My thanks to all who have entrusted me with creating their personalized, meaningful and memorable ceremonies.

Fall is here 🍂 and ceremonies across the different cycles of life continue, just as the seasonal changes continue. This week, first a Celebration of Life for a mother gone too soon at the age of 44. A challenging time for her family. 🙏😪 Then ending the week with the last wedding of the season, with a lovely young couple, who are both very nervous and anxious about crossing that threshold in to married life. 🩷 😊 Being there at the beginning of a marriage or at the end of life is truly an honour and a privilege and I do my best to provide comfort and support to all who are involved. www.chrysalisceremonies.com

This lovely couple from Egypt eloped today via my living room. In Egyptian culture when a couple are engaged, they wear their rings on their right hands. During the wedding ceremony they move the rings to their right hands and the rings become their wedding rings. This bride was so delighted when her groom moved her ring to her left hand. 🥰💖 Love was in the air! First wedding of 2025. 💖🥰
