A stunning location for a wedding - a sweet little wooded glen in Queen Elizabeth Park. It had enough trees to screen the ceremony from the wondering public. An international couple (H from Ireland and A from Australia) H and A have been together many years and have 2 beautiful children. It was time to cross the legal threshold, witnessed by a small but lovely group of family and friends who travelled from their homelands to be here. The tree canopy was stunning, with the sun shining through. 🥰 💘💘💘

A windy day Wedding on Saturday on the rooftop terrace of the Executive Plaza Hotel in Coquitlam. A lovely and very nervous couple are now happily married! And hats off to another wedding professional - Wedding Planner Claudia Higo who did me and my couple a great service. The wind picked up the Marriage Licence and sent it under a nearby, but not easily accessible, bush beside the ceremony space. Big Thank you to Claudia (pictured below) who went above and beyond by climbing over a railing and stepping down into the garden area, and under the bush, to retrieve the Licence! . We Wedding Professionals never know what we might be called on to do! Congratulations to C and B for a long and happy, and now duly registered, marriage!

A beautiful day for a wedding - at the historic Minnekhada Lodge. R & A started out as friends many years ago, while in High School. After many years in the friend zone, something started to change. And over time their friendship caught fire, love grew, and today they made sweet promises to one another. The Groom is a big fan of The Lord of The Rings. The Bride surprised him with the little Ring Bearer dressed as a Hobbit! (Sorry no pics of little ones). And we incorporated vows from LOTR into their exchange of rings. Such fun!

And....Wedding #3 is now in the books. Another held in my living room. Such a fun couple, M & J tried to keep the elopement secret from friends. Then two friends found out and insisted on coming along to be their witnesses! And what another fun couple the friends were - encouraging M & J every step of the way as we moved through their ceremony, while taking tons of photos. Having friends and family part of the celebration is always wonderful. And my couple were both from Tonga - so are a very long way from home and family!

Busy wedding weekend. Wedding #2 for a sweet multicultural couple, in my living room. Bride K was stunning in her traditional outfit. Ginger joined in the photo opportunity. K&S now legally married. ❤️

The sun came out, although the clouds still hugged the mountains across the river. The couple were SO excited for this day! They exchanged their beautiful vows at the bend of a public footpath with the glory of nature all around. And some walkers graciously stopped at a distance and waited for the short and sweet ceremony to complete before walking through and offering their congratulations. An exciting champagne toast completed the special moment for these two!

Waiting to see if this afternoon's elopement can be held outside...the weather is a bit iffy as it's been raining this morning. My lovely bride really wants to hold the ceremony outside, so fingers crossed the clouds pass and some blue sky appears! :)

All weddings are wonderful - no matter how large or how small. On Saturday last, I had the privilege of joining T & C in marriage on the banks of a local river. We celebrated the 4 Directions, joined them in a handfasting, and gave a blessing to the new baby that is soon to come. As I was pronouncing them "Married", a Canada Geese couple flew past, directly overhead, side by side! Then after being pronounced married, they chose to be wrapped in a beautiful buffalo blanket that belonged to the lovely bride 's mother. A truly spiritual moment. Love glowed, love flowed.
