The Haunted Woods
Part 2: The forgotten Path

After narrowly surviving the eerie silence of the old cemetery, you feel a fleeting sense of triumph. According to the tattered map handed to you by the old man in the village, you're one step closer to finding the rumored settlement. The map crinkles in your hands, worn with time and cryptic notes. It’s your lifeline, your only hope of making it out of Woodhaven, but it’s also unreliable—half of the landmarks seem to have shifted or vanished altogether.

You take a cautious breath, knowing you can’t afford to be caught by the others. Whoever—or whatever—they are, you’ve heard the stories. No one makes it out once they’ve been found.

The map leads you down a narrow path, lined with gnarled trees and decaying fences. Just as you think you’ve gained some distance, you stumble upon something that chills you to the bone. It wasn’t on the map, but there it stands: a pet cemetery. A strange aura fills the air—darker, more malevolent than the cemetery you just escaped.

Your heart races as you take in the twisted graves and tiny headstones. The sound of claws scraping the dirt makes your hair stand on end. Eyes gleam in the dark, and you catch glimpses of what could only be described as the cursed spirits of these revered pets. This wasn’t meant to be here—something's gone horribly wrong.

You grip the map tighter, knowing you can’t stop now. Demon dogs with snarling teeth and glowing eyes slink from the shadows, circling you and your group. Your children cling to your side, terrified. Every second counts. You dodge, weave, and somehow manage to push forward, narrowly avoiding the sharp claws and fangs that snap at your heels.

Just when you think you’ve escaped, the pet cemetery releases you into a strange clearing. Gasping for breath, you look up and see it—an old playground, half intact, rusting and overgrown, standing against the backdrop of this twisted world. The children, still shaking from their near-death escape, see it as a beacon of hope.

“Maybe it’s safe here,” one of them mutters, eyeing the broken swings swaying eerily in the breeze.

But your instincts scream otherwise. Something is wrong. And then you hear it—the distant sound of a circus calliope. The haunting music seeps through the air, growing louder with each passing second.

No... it can’t be. Not here.

The map offers no explanation, no guidance, and you know in your gut that you can’t linger. You glance at the darkened horizon, knowing that whatever awaits you in the next part of Woodhaven is far worse than the demon dogs or the playground. You can’t get caught. You must keep moving.

Starting September 1st, we’re rolling out the full schedule for this year’s Haunted Woods, along with early bird ticket access exclusively for our loyal past guests over the next days.

But why a Haunted Woods instead of a traditional haunted house? At 350 Farms, we're committed to an eco-immersive experience, offering thrilling adventures that leave minimal impact on the environment while maximizing guest satisfaction.

No longer do you need to trek to the city for a dose of Halloween horror—we’re bringing the fright right to your doorstep. And why take it outdoors? Because we believe in fully embracing the world around us, regardless of the weather. Alberta’s beauty shines in every season, and our Haunted Woods is a celebration of that natural wonder, teaching our children—and reminding ourselves—to find joy in every season's unique offerings.

This year, the Haunted Woods experience is bigger and better than ever. We’ve added two pumpkin carving contests, a 5k fun run similar to a turkey trot, and an array of themed nights, including an adult-only night, a flashlight night where your group navigates the woods with just a single flashlight, and kinder and below evenings. There’s also a night market, a full moon feast, and the damned beer garden—ensuring there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

At 350 Farms, we’re dedicated to bringing more events closer to home in an eco-conscious and sustainable way. This year’s Haunted Woods is not just an event; it’s living proof of our belief in the beauty and excitement of our local area.
