We would like to send out our utmost appreciation to our wonderful music community today as we reflect on another ‘Open Mic Jam and Dance’ season coming to a close.

Thanks to each and every soul that came through the door this season supporting our cause and contributing to the preservation and growth of live country music. Whether you came to dance or lent your talent for the microphone, we value your talent and presence always.

Many thanks to the Lion’s Club of Cobourg for welcoming us with open arms and ensuring all our needs were met from hustling extra tables in a crowded pinch to the friendly food and drink service to the delicious meals and hospitality all season long. Tremendous job done by all.

To our house band, ‘The Apple Country Pickers’ for the devotion to their craft and knocking song after song out of the park all year long. These gentlemen are truly talented individuals and great folks to boot! Mike McGrath, John Meydam, Steve Smith and Kevin Turner (also our dedicated sound man)…thanks boys! We couldn’t do it without you.

Thanks to our beautiful front line gals getting you through the door, looking after sales and draws and being the first smiling faces you see when you join us each month. Ladies, you’re all gems! Thank you!

We’d also like to thank our finale crowd for their generous contributions to our beloved friend in her darkest hour yesterday. It takes a village and we all experienced a true moment of love and community together. Thank you for stepping up.

As we part for summer, know we will miss our monthly gatherings and we are already counting down until we kick off again in October. Just remember that July 29th we’re hosting The World Famous, The Malpass Brothers along with Country Legends and singers of ‘Heaven’s Just a Sin Away’, The Kendalls with special guests at the Keeler Centre in Colborne followed by our 4 day jamboree extravaganza all Civic Holiday weekend long.

For tickets or questions, reach out to Gary Warner at: 905 376 3709

Thanks again to everyone for making this season a memorable and successful one. Enjoy the summer and we’ll see you all soon.

This young starlet is a 22 year old singer/songwriter from a small town in the Ottawa Valley. She’s been singing and playing guitar, piano, and ukulele for almost a decade and has performed at many jamborees and festivals around Ontario. Outside of music, she enjoys spending time with her family and pursuing her Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology. She gets inspiration from her heroes like Dolly Parton and Tanya Tucker, and she has an old soul rooted in traditional country music. This gal can’t wait to get back into the music scene after having her daughter and settling in as a new Mom. Welcome back to the stage young lady!

Another wonderful act you won’t want to miss!

This fan favourite was born and raised in Prescott and grew up in a musical family. Along with his wife, thy moved to Kingston in 1986, where they still reside today. He joined his first band in 1989 and since 2007, has fronted his very popular group, Silver Wings and they continue to play regularly around Eastern Ontario. This busy man also hosts a weekly classic country radio request show from 6 until noon on Kingstons' New Country 98.9 every Sunday morning. He‘s certainly no stranger to a great country song and we’re looking forward to his delivery of the classics at our upcoming jamboree.

Please warmly welcome…

This singers Musical Journey and his love for music began at a very young age, inspired by the timeless sounds of country legends like George Jones, Charley Pride, and Alan Jackson. With the encouragement and influence of his Father and Grandmother, he picked up the guitar and learned to play and quickly developed a passion for music. During high school, he loved when he got the chance to get up on stage to perform during assemblies.

After high school, life took him in a different direction as he focused on building a life for his own growing family. A devoted partner and father to three daughters, he balanced the responsibilities of work and family while keeping his love for music alive in garage and campfire jams with friends.

In 2020, as the world shifted online during the COVID pandemic, he shared his music on social media. He reconnected with his passion to perform and discovered an audience that resonated with his original sound. Since then, he has formed a band with a few of those he met online. His music continues to reach more people, fueling his ambition as a performer.

He is the real deal and you won’t want to miss a second of his show. Please make welcome…

This Canadian country crooner has been dazzling audiences for decades with his warm, smooth, embracing voice. As lead vocalist for Canadian country acts Big To***co, The Empty Glasses, and The Odd Country, Western Swing act The Double Cuts, and the Let Us Be Frank Big Band Orchestra, he’s been able to effortlessly hop between musical genres and deliver superbly, displaying his life long love affair with a well written song.

This artist hails from Pigeon Lake in the Kawarthas. He has entered his 6th decade of his musical journey and has performed for wonderful audiences from coast to coast and many parts of the world. A few years back, he performed at Canada's Got Talent and also performed at the prestigious Roy Thomson Hall in Toronto for North America's largest Seniors' Jubilee. You’re all in for a real treat here!

This man was born and raised in Kingston Ontario. His love for music; particularly Country music, inspired him to pick up the guitar at the age of 10 and learn how to play. By age 13 he was performing regularly at all ages events and retirement homes. By age 19, he and his brother formed the popular group, Texas Tuxedo, and began their journey throughout Eastern Ontario. This amazing vocalist has been hired on a regular basis as a background/harmony vocalist for dozens of local recording artists, and continues to perform every weekend with his band Texas Tuxedo.

You’ll love his delivery of soulful classic country as he takes our stage…

A note from one of our upcoming performers in his own words:

“I was born and raised in Wooler, Ontario and we had little to no disposable income. As a young person I thought of us as poor. I am a senior now and looking back I realize that being blessed with the best family a person could ever hope for and country music we were rich beyond my wildest dreams.” he says.
“Life's responsibilities took me away from performing for 40 years. I am back now and the songs that I share with you also keep me close to the people that I have lost over the years.” he concludes.

Honest words and sincere excitement for his upcoming performance. We are equally as thrilled.

Please make welcome to our stage,

RANDY FORSYTH!
