We're in for another fantastic weekend, CK! With Canada Day just around the corner, communities across Chatham-Kent are coming alive with celebrations, concerts, parades, and more. I'm doing my best to take in as much as possible:
Thursday, June 26
• Canada Day Fireworks in Tilbury at Memorial Park
• Summer Concert Series in Blenheim (Talbot Trail Place) and Dresden (Rotary Park) at 7 pm.
Friday, June 27
• Canada Day Parade in Ridgetown, along with a weekend of activities celebrating 150 years, including a Kids Day at Kiwanis Park and a concert from Mudmen
• Grand Evolution at the Kiwanis Theatre — tickets are still available
• Wheatley Fish Festival kicks off with a full weekend of events
Saturday, June 28
• The Great Erie Salmon & Walleye Hunt begins in Erieau
• Wallaceburg Art in the Park at Crothers Park, 9 am. to 4 pm.
• Wallaceburg 150 Ceremony and Baldoon Wagon Run at the Wallaceburg and District Museum, starting at 10 am.
• Butter Tart Festival at Sons of Kent in Chatham, 11am-11pm.
• Chatham Barnstormers vs. Kitchener Panthers, 7 p.m.
Sunday, June 29
• Wheatley Fish Festival Parade at 12:30 pm. and Car Show from 2 to 5 pm.
• 17th Annual Merlin Legion Community Family Fun Day, starting at 4 pm.
